Over the last month or so, I'm down from 166lb to 162.
Had to give up alcohol but otherwise was just trying to get low stress cardio in and hit the 800 calorie burn per day

68style 07-24-2024 07:32 AM

Dude my weight fluctuates that much based on what I'm wearing and if I took a dump or not lol

I suggest that you stop eating even earlier. Do an intermittent fast with a simple 14:10. 14 hours of no eating 10 hours able to eat. So stop eating after dinner, say 7:00 pm and 'break your fast' at 9:00 am. Some of us don't eat breakfast, just enough time to get out the door so not eating breakfast isn't that hard. Sometimes my first meal is lunch.

Once you get that rhythm down, then try to up it to 15:9 or 16:8, etc. Fastin app.

Secondly get an app (MyfitnessPal) to calorie count and try to aim for 2100 or 2000 per day (or whatever is less than your body weight, age, etc. calorie deficit) and slowly reduce the daily goal.

Oh thirdly, get enough sleep ... they all say that, not sure the reason but I enjoy sleeping so this one is super easy. :lol

Slow and gradual method, most people are able to keep it off if you keep this kind of rhythm.

Maybe start at don't eat past 9:00pm :lol

lol weigh yourself naked/in your underwear, not clothed

I usually only eat 1-2 meals a day, usually only 1. Once your body gets used to it, it's pretty easy. I usually hit the gym in the early afternoon, then go for a bike ride after (not always) and still have my only meal after I get home around 6 or 7ish.

Your biggest issue I'm sure Dark is that you probably snack at work. Don't do that. If the guys bring in donuts, pizza, and other bullshit, don't touch it. If you're working a sedentary job, there's no reason for you to be stuffing your face snacking on crap while sitting behind a computer. That's the kryptonite for weight gain in your 30's/40's, the snacking adds up and it's hard to rationalize, especially worse if you don't have a robust fitness routine.

I like to eat my junk food and bullshit sometimes too, and that's fine, but if I do, it's the only thing I eat all day.

You don't want to be popping Metformin and worrying about having to jump on cholesterol drugs and eventually stents at only 40-something.

Based on the numbers I am seeing here from y'all I think it's more the FUPA that's blocking the scale and not the mandongle.

mikemhg 07-24-2024 10:49 AM

It sounds like a lot of Revsceners got FUPA/GUNTs..

Indoor office jobs sound like the worst if you're trying to lose weight. You already sit on your ass all day and someone is always bringing in baked goods or something unhealthy. If you don't know much about nutrition or exercise it's clear why people get fat, I've heard so much false information about how to lose weight it's crazy.

I hit the peloton once a week and remain an absolute specimen. Working on your feet and having a dog that can go further than the corner to take a little rabbit turd has its benefits.

I was this many days old when I learned what FUPA means.

I think I'm okay 184 at 6' is fine! Not all of us have a BMW 128i that's broken down half the time to force us to walk everywhere :accepted:

(Supra is still too new, my time is sure to come)

mikemhg 07-24-2024 05:28 PM

184 at 6' is totally fine.

bcuzracecarz 10-12-2024 07:10 AM

Since this thread has morphed into car sales in general, anyone have recommendations for salesperson at Audi Langley? My uncle is on the hunt.

Badhobz 10-12-2024 07:52 AM

Yah here’s a tip! Buy a Toyota instead :troll:

Correction. Buy an older Toyota instead. The new ones are basically the same shit as the Audis
