looks a bit better in some of these photos, but it feels like they havent done much with the design. Old one still looks better and not having the ferrari v8 is crap
Right ? Stellantis really killed the brand. Divorcing maserati from Ferrari was the final nail in the coffin for the marque
Such a heritage wasted.
The old one had a Ferrari shared engine, ferrari interior bits (hence all the sticky buttons), ferrari design house styling (pinninfarina) and was built under the approval of luca montezemolo. Basically Enzo 2.0. He also oversaw the Quattroporte 5 which the GT was based off of.
Ching Chong ling long might be buying my ex favourite pasta maker.
Maybe this is a good thing considering how fucked up the current state of the marque is.
I guess it's good. I mean Jlr wouldn't have survived so long if the buddy guys didn't buy their overlords. I always had a feeling Ferrari was sand bagging Maserati though, cuz they can't be better than Ferrari. Same with Alfa.
I still don't think I've seen a new gran tourismo on the streets, same with the Mr one. I've seen plenty of the Dodge dart ones. I see more new lotus than new Maserati.
I mean it’s 200k. This isn’t like pre 2008 (when the original gran turismo came out) when people were rolling in cash. Plus the old design looked better and had a v8. Also was a real Ferrari product not a stellantis bullshit

This random Chery SUV they posted doesn't look half bad.
If Infiniti sold this they'd probably do just fine. They wouldn't even need to change out the badge.
^^ honestly Infiniti designs aren't bad. They look pretty modern and stylish. I would say they are more cohesive than the Koreans who try to full restyle every generation and nothing sticks. I don't know why even buddy guys don't buy their cars anymore and go American.
Like he said and like I’ve said. You buy a Maserati of that vintage because it’s a real Ferrari.
It’s a Ferrari v8
It’s a Ferrari developed chassis (quattroporte 5 derived which was a Ferrari design)
It’s mostly Ferrari interior bits. Sometimes Frustratingly so with its sticky buttons and tendencies to catch fire.
It sounds 100000% better than any v8 out there. Including the Ferrari flat plane crank sister engine.
It’s actually relatively reliable engine if you get one past 2013 that had the variator fix.
Was the insurance killer? I find based on my set up with icbc my range with the cars I have or interested in is about $70 a month variance. My 400hp+ cars are just over $200 a month, I tried to quote a kei car and it was only down to like $140 a month. So even with dinky 15+ year old kei cars it's not exactly cheap to keep as a toy.
Initially it was very expensive. Like it was on the list of those speciality cars that icbc wouldn’t touch for a while. But the last few years it dropped to the same as any other vehicle. Like around 2k a year.
