ok... i was seriously looking at this thing..but holy crap..did they ever cheap out on stuff..... guess Honda figures its a hybrid so lets go with cost cutting and the public will still buy it.
- no ventilated seats
- rear turn signals back to incandescent (easy fix but prev gen had LED)
- no pano roof (prev gen touring had it)
- wtf is up with half digital, half analog cluster? can we say... HALF ASSED?
- no convenient trunk based handle to fold rear seats down
- wimpiest horn ever
- no homelink garage opener
- no fog light option
- cheap hard plastic all around
some pros?
- fuel economy
- BOSE stereo might sound decent
- honda reliability
- front and rear heated seats but i don't give a shit about rear passengers
- wireless android auto/apple car play (easy add on to applicable cars)
$57k all in for a Touring Hybrid and likely no discounts at all. That's more than what a RDX A-Spec went for back in 2019 and only $9k less than a 2023 RDX A-Spec all-in. That's a tough sell.
compared the the rav4 hybrid limited trim, 360 camera, cooling seats, homelink, lots of hard plastic as well and i think the rav4 has a bigger engine as well for about 53k OTD
Yea the new car pricing doesn't make sense, just go for a few year old car save like $30k and spend that on gas. The extra costs right for for the "hybrid" doesn't justify the savings. If you want to save just go full EV. But yes even if the gas is $2, $10000 = 5000 liters, assuming 70l tank = full 71 tanks, assuming that lasts you two weeks so 26 tanks a year you still get over 32 months worth of gas for the $10000 premium that you're paying.

Can you really buy a few year old car and save 30k these days. I hear 3 year old minivans are going for msrp or higher.

Are you really complaining your turn signals aren’t LED? Seems like a great thing to cheap out on in my eyes considering it’s useless lol. I can’t see it being a cost curing measure though. Not like it’s any cheaper.
^^ I kinda actually prefer to have halogens as that means I can change it, do you have to throw away the whole housing if its led and it's like $1000 to replace cuz you gotta buy the whole housing? I sure don't want my factory led headlights to burn.
^ cuz you can't get a Rav 4? probably get a hummer EV or f150 EV quicker than you can get a Rav 4, Toyota finance rates also suck. Well all finance rates suck so I'm not sure why people are still buying new cars.
no one is comparing a new car to used car. Buying new generally gets you better rates than used, along with warranty and so much more. If the buyer wants a new car they're not looking at anything on the used market.

Also trickling in to the other Mazdas. The 2022 3 gets them along with the cx50. Super cool.
i get that it's not as elegant but i still prefer the instant on/off nature of conventional LEDs
more attention-grabbing which is what your signals are supposed to do
but yeah pretty much car design 101 for mainstream brands to stick ol' bulb on new models then upgrade to LED for facelift/refresh
50-60k no way i'd buy a non plug-in rav4 or crv
