I want a golf R

Badhobz 04-15-2023 11:51 AM

You should have bought the one in Kelowna

trollface 04-15-2023 11:55 AM

Not a fan of that color on a hatch tbh.

Badhobz 04-15-2023 12:13 PM

westopher 04-15-2023 04:27 PM

You should have bought any of the 73561 that have been for sale since you started looking.

trollface 04-15-2023 06:19 PM

You mean 4 year old ones for 2k over MSRP when they were new?

Im no CPA, but that don't sound like a good deal.

Badhobz 04-15-2023 07:26 PM

trolly, this is why you make no sense.

If you are listening to your head, then you wouldnt buy a god damn golf R to begin with. You'd troll around with a Ratrolla Hybrid, or a Tesla Model 3.

If youre buying with your heart, which you are, then what is an extra 2-3 grand over your "expected" price. Just buy it, love it, and enjoy it.

Nah more like the ones in the 30s. I'm also no CPA but I know that's less than msrp.

He’s kinda like me and the 05-06 ratrolla XRS. I really really want one. I really really wanna rice one out and make it loud as fuck. I also know that’s really really stupid.

Hell there’s one for sale that’s pre riced already on Craig’s

trollface 04-16-2023 09:03 AM

Cheap =/= fair deal.

There is a nice salvaged one for 33k lol.

underscore 04-16-2023 09:37 AM

I'm cheap as hell, but even if you overpay a little to get one now you're getting to enjoy it sooner which has a value too.

What's wrong with these ones?

$32.5k, 81k km

$38k, 56k km

JDMDreams 04-16-2023 09:50 AM

Ones dealer so you'll pay like an extra $5000 in taxes and bs fees so no thanks

trollface 04-16-2023 10:35 AM

18-19 is what you want with updated interior and exterior. The interior of the later ones are much much nicer.

38k is insane for a 17 considering someone here picked up the 19 purple one with 29k for 39k and change.

JDMDreams 04-16-2023 10:53 AM

What about an egolf? You can make it in to a golf r look but no gas

Badhobz 04-16-2023 12:52 PM

E golf ?! Why bother just grab a Tesla 3 and save money

The same reason I don't currently have a Bugatti.

A girl comes up to you and says, "What do you drive?" And you say, "Bugatti."

mine is an 18 - i paid 40.5k for it. relatively discounted from the dealers asking price.

you should be able to find a .5 in the mid 30's if you want a standard colour.

i know you want them to be cheaper - they just aren't.

On the topic of "overpaying" for a used car

I was out with my friend a few days ago, he bought a Subaru Outback two years ago, supposably they were 28k new back then.
He has put on 18,000kms on it, and told me he could sell it for over 30k, I called bullshit

Looked up outbacks on CL, and sure enough, a 2018 with 30,000kms are going for 32k, 2020s with 50kms going for 36k

Talk about a win buying a new car, this will probably be the only time in history you buy a "regular" car, drive it for two years, and it goes up in price

Sell you my golf R lulz

Badhobz 04-17-2023 07:12 AM

he'll never buy it because it wont fit his criteria of a PERFECT GOLF R....

you drove it to the states (highway miles!! that means rock chips and dings)

you have a box on top (that means you use the car for moving or other car related stuff!!! the horror)

you stated on revscene that you loaded the car with family (THAT MEANS KIDS GOOP inside !!!)

you've won best in show (that means you went to a car show!!! how dare you go to car shows)

you got a vanity plate (that means your VAIN!!!!!!!! you vain ass wanker)
