Can you tell us what ACC does? Does it just lane keep and radar cruise for you? Down to 0km? Auto pull away? And does it bounce, ping pong in the lane like Toyota's. |
Also it is awd, compared to fwd so it must be worse on gas. I wonder if the awd is permanent or fwd until it slips? |

I want a golf r |
you should have bought the one in Kelowna |

EDIT: the other thing you were talking about was following distance. I assume you have adjusted it. If not - pressing the central ACC button will change the distance. Still might not go to where you want though. |
I think it's just your driving habits - you can get the Golf R to match the FK8 in terms of fuel economy since that 7th gear is so tall. Keep it in D mode and normal and you'll see that fuel economy number go down. |
I swear to god I can't catch a fucking break. I just went to look at one and the only sales person there was newer than grass and understands every 3rd word I say. Car has a not "Not ready for sale" sign on it, so I ask them if it's done inspection and recon, they say yes the sign is old. Ask to see the inspection and it's "not there", but you better buy it because someone will. Fuck sakes. |
Dude then ask for a different sales associate. Take life by the balls and do what you need to do. |

I've adjusted the following distance to the minimum but it's still enough space for someone to cut me off. ACC was great today with an accident on the bridge because no one is gonna cut me off LOL. I find that the car doesn't accelerate fast enough to meet to set following distance, but I just press on the accelerator to solve that. It also slows down too early, but again I'll just add gas a little to account for it. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk |

Buy a Golf R. It will solve all your life problems. |
Finally got some time off and had some good weather so I took the R8 to gold river. https://i.ibb.co/wMbcDXb/20230426-160120.jpg The car got wet because of this bad boy. It was spraying mist onto the road. https://i.ibb.co/CQGKQJV/20230426-180712.jpg |

Meanwhile I got 7.3L last night hammering S2S at midnight. [emoji85] It’s amazing when the place feels like a closed course for just you! [emoji51] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2fde2efcab.jpg I filled up this morning ready to do another 3 weeks of driving. |
damn the 335d is insane on gas |
^apparentely the 328d is even better (understandably a lot less power) but it comes with a 8 speed auto transmission. |
i've never heard anybody say that it is better. the ZF auto trans in the 335i is plenty stout and the M57 is a monster w some bolt ons (and bolt offs!) and a tune/trans tune. absolute M3 killer. 335d guys absolutely love those things. if it worked for my needs I'd have one. |

i see what you're saying. did you ninja edit in the understandably a lot less power part? if not, I apologize and I totally missed it. from a performance stand point. the m57 is a monster compared w the 2L in the f30. Simpler systems, less emissions shit. for making power, it's much better. if you were buying strictly for mpg and long hauls, the F30 would of course be a better car for that (and the F31 wagon even more so). That 8 speed has been praised in every car it's ever been put in (which is a lot) (i have driven both) |
