Is it considered buying a demo? Do you still get charged freight and pdi?

Badhobz 05-03-2023 01:06 PM

Oh come on. That’s a fucking steal. 63k would only get you a spicy ratrolla

It was the owner of the dealerships car, they did not charge me pdi, and gave me free delivery. 600$ paperwork fee. I guess you can call it a demo since I'm the "first owner" on paper

The guy at the insurance place was trying to piece it together, he stared at the paper for like 10 minutes before asking me why it was 2015, 10,000kms, and has never been registered :joy:

And all I'm thinking in the back of my head is: HURRY THE FUCK UP I WANT TO DRIVE IT while smiling and waiting patiently......

You sold it? That was quick

red kryptonite 05-03-2023 10:37 PM

^ no not yet, most likely trading it in.
tired of ppl on facebook market wasting my time.

radeonboy 05-03-2023 11:29 PM

^Have you tried posting it on AutoTrader / CL? I feel there are way fewer time wasters on those platforms over FB Marketplace, plus their search engine is much better at filtering and serving up listings that match a specific criteria.

I skipped Facebook altogether when I listed my Lexus last month on AutoTrader and CL. Most of the leads were legit and the car sold within the week.

Badhobz 05-04-2023 04:45 AM

That’s cuz you had a GS Ffffffff!!!!!!!! What is that 1/40 sold in Canada ?!?

This Beamer in comparison is about as generic as a ratrolla LE.

Out of curiosity, was the successful lead from AutoTrader or Craigslist?

Given the calibre of vehicle and the dollar value, my assumption is that a lot of the riff raff had been written off.

trollface 05-04-2023 06:39 AM

What are u gonna get?

Badhobz 05-04-2023 07:12 AM

if youre talking about radeon, he already got his replacement. that brand new WRX.

SSM_DC5 05-04-2023 07:12 AM

A golf R

JDMDreams 05-04-2023 09:58 AM

What who goes from gsf to a wrx:fulloffuck:

TOS'd 05-04-2023 10:13 AM

Should change the RS banner from an R35 to a golf R at this point.

jpark 05-04-2023 10:14 AM

less traffic on CL/Autotrader, but demographics is generally older so you get more legitimate buyers as opposed to kids on FB!

There are around 60 or so units total with the bulk of them being 2016s. My 2017 was 1 of 2 in BC among the 12 brought into Canada that year.

Both platforms gave me solid leads with the winning one coming from AutoTrader. Most people already knew what it was which made communications easier, plus the historical listings data I had filtered out the few tire kickers pretty quick.

I felt it was time to improve my manual-driving skills in order to feel more comfortable behind the wheel. The new WRX was readily available and reasonably priced so it became the answer.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the car and I hope it stays mint with the new owner.

LET ME IN

headhunt3r 05-04-2023 11:56 AM

The collective forum is going to bust the biggest nut when you finally get one.

trollface 05-04-2023 12:13 PM

I tried to buy the one in Cap, it was out for recon, and then they sold it without it even being in the lot lol.

radeonboy 05-04-2023 12:23 PM

^Any chance you can get build/maintain a relationship with a local VW dealer that can let you know when/if a Golf R comes in? Or ask if they're expecting any lease returns later this year?

Assuming a 4-year lease cycle, there could be some decent off-lease MY2019s out there still.
