My kid is getting old enough that I'm starting to feel like I don't have to rush my washes anymore and I can take my time - for a while it was just doing the bare minimum as we had other things to do. |

Your s2k has 250k on it? That's impressive. |
It's lived a long and very interesting life. |
ITT: People are offended @ a high milage S2k. Most cars don't have 250k, even fewer sports cars don't have 250k. Not sure what ya'll are mad about. |
oh they just mad you didnt buy that golf R |
^Would a golf r make it to 250k :considered: |
It might, if one dumps $250K into it :troll: In fairness to trollface, my 2004 Mini Cooper S has over 325,000KM on it, which is very surprising considering all the dodgy history of repairs, parts, number of owners (6+) and so on. |
some of them are approaching 25 years, there are ones at half a million km's adequate oil lvl, the odd valve clearance check and chain tensioner if it gets noisy and it'll keep going |
996: 220k kms E36: 228k kms (142k miles) Corrado1: 209k kms Corrado2: 229k kms GTI: 262k kms Nothing wrong with it - all relatively low miles per year really. Time's a bigger factor than mileage - all of these cars suffer more from brittle plastics than worn mechanicals Thread content - went to pick up my car this morning at my aunt's house - found it parked behind a 91 Blue spektrum e-Golf. 1 of 4 made in this colour. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...fb287201_b.jpg |
didnt realize they offered spectrum to non-R's, Canada only? |
your aunt drives a buick!? thats excellently stereotypical for old ladies |

Back on topic: manifold didn't blow up and the rain held off. Good day yesterday. (Feels much better in the midrange after the tune, really good power). https://i.imgur.com/KTkI39Jh.png EDIT: Corrected as per The Producer |

Pretty interesting back story actually. Couple of enthusiastic VW north america execs got involved. You don't see that as often as you used to. Production breakdown by year/model/country/colour. There's a very active group that tracks these cars. https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/18-...post-114910604 Quote:

Sorry, corrected my post. Thought that the GTI could get Spektrum as well but with wraps and such these days its hard to tell lol |

But that's really good considering most S2000's are redlined 10-20x a day for 20 years. |
B18 swap,??? Profit |
