I've always wondered if it adds a shit ton of wind noise and kills mpg. I always hear whistling when I drive past cars with racks on the highway. |

Started this project a while back and have been plugging away at it whenever I had free time/motivation. S54 M3 motor installed in the wagon and finally able to start seeing there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Glad to see you are still working on it.
There was a S54 wagon for sale on the island a few weeks ago. No way it could be built for less than he wanted (low 20's IIRC)

The car hit 20,000kms today, I doubled the milage in 5 months. Considering most of my cars I drive less than 5000kms a year, the fun factor speaks for its self depreciation gang

It's really awesome seeing my friend's photos being posted everywhere. What a spectacular weekend!
Also, my friend's 2018 CTR that I mentioned in the other thread? Well its spectacularly hard to find pictures of my car without also getting pictures of his car - especially from the side lol
Spot the differences lol

Of course they had to just miss the giant kick out slider tube. At least it's a bolt on part if you get it fixed. Or just go get some trail damage to blend it in.

I just bought a thinkware dash cam for like a 100 bucks and then got it wired for another 60 dollars in Richmond with MJ installs. The dudes super nice and had it done in like 15 minutes.

Potentially something you can polish out though. That paint transfer would definitely come out. Might not turn out 100% (but it might; see below!), but with inevitable future trail rash and other parking lot mishaps when they do leave a note, you might as well get it all taken care of for free when it's on someone else's dime.
Source: months ago I ran the side of my wife's i3 into one of those parking bollards. That yellow post just leapt out of the ground and lunged into the car... came out of no where I swear to god. Anyway it was a pretty ugly gash that looks just like yours. So I took a trip down to the local parts store and picked up some polishing compound, and after like 20 minutes of scrubbing with a microfiber cloth (10 min to get the yellow paint transfer off, another 10 to get the remaining scratches out), it's now perfect. I'm OCD as shit but we don't see a thing. YMMV though: our i3 has composite body panels so there was no actual denting. But if you do have any denting maybe a PDR (paintless dent removal) service could take care of the rest (or even all of it).

Ran this through the Express Auto Wash on E. 4th Ave and Boundary. My brother never washes the damn car. Had to use the highest wash option but not 100% clean but good enough for 327,787KM.
