There's no guarantees they'll be successful. Look at Toyota, Honda, Ford/Jag in the recent era.

Seems like the logical move from a marketing standpoint especially given the resurgence of popularity of F1 in the US

Would rather have Andretti than two main constructor "B" teams like Alpha Tauri & Alfa Romeo who essentially have no hope of ever winning a championship and are just filler anyways.

Alfa is going away and becoming Audi's works team.

I'm curious where Williams is heading because with James Volwes I thought they were heading to become a AMG B team, but the news of Porsche joining the ranks means really only AT will be the only B team on the grid, and AT has proven in the past that they can win races.


Oh wait almost forgot about Haas, but they aren't acting like a B team right now.

i watch it on the native appletv app. I don't have cable.

off the top of my head (these are just the things I've used)

no commercials (not even split screen)
multiple commentary feeds (the F1TV feed is actually my preferred choice over Sky now but both are available)
any time in car footage (watch an entire race from onboard if you want)

biggest one for me coming from previously using whatever streams I could find - buffered start. you don't have to wait until the race is over but you also don't have to be up at the crack of fuck to watch. i'm down for 6am starts but not earlier. i guess if you're a dvr user that's the same

there's a pile of docu's you can watch. race replays. if you're really serious F2 and F3 coverage too.

edit: as mentioned any browser, including consoles. there's no xbox app but it works through the browser. we use this at work to watch the FP's

Do you get Crofty/Brundle commentary? I can't really get into anyone else

there's 2 tiers (in canada anyways) I did get tricked into only getting the base tier last year that didn't include live racing but a quick chat and they sorted it out.

Yeah if I want to try it I might VPN through India (they might block it now - sites are getting better at this)

Edit: I can get to the billing page when using a VPN that is NOT geo-located. That leaves out most of Asia, but Isreal has it for $48

For anyone that has accumulated google rewards dollars from doing google surveys, you can use it towards purchasing a one year subscription.

Only down side is you will be paying retail price at $79.99 before taxes.

Oh man that was so satisfying after subscribing to F1TV pro.

I was able to back track to 2019 Brazil, GP watching the on board footage of the red bull cars. During this time the microphones were placed in areas of the redbull where it sounds extra mean and get to hear all the aggressive downshifts.
