| Rogers 100 gig infinite plan
Just wondering if anyone is on this deal from cellplug Canada?
They are offering 100 gigs of data and true NA calling and texting including roaming for $60.
I checked in with Rogers and their price was $75 for this same plan.

is this LTE or 5G, check the fineprint. There are many companies making offers to what look like great deals, but reading the offer details it mentions that its only for 4G LTE.

| Rogers 100 gig infinite plan
I contacted the store and it is a store promotion only. They only operate online. I will skip it.
I will keep talking to Rogers directly

Fido currently has $39 for 20GB rn - Rogers will match. And if you’re already on Fido with a higher amount they will match too.
Edit: Koodo also has this plan. S/O to @Cho for the heads up.

Not sure how this year's black Friday deals will play out.
Last year I signed a 2 year contract with Koodo from best buy. $45 for 50gb with a Pixel 7a (which I sold for $350) and a $350 best buy gift card.
My theoretical monthly services fees were equivalent to $20 a month.

Those of you who went over to 5G from 4G ... curious, is the speed like really noticeably faster? And is 5G more reliable in terms of connection?

I would say it's faster but not to the point where it's going to make a huge difference.
In terms of reliability, I don't see a difference.
Good example would be the first floor of Metrotown in either the T&T Supermarket or Toys R Us. I have zero reception when I'm inside those stores and that's with both 4g and 5g connections. Wife on the other hand with Fido, solid connection when inside both of those stores with 4g connection.

I don't know how real the 5Gs are here. When I was in HK 3 yrs ago, their 5G was epic fast. Seeing you pull up youtube with 1080p / 8 k and you can drag anywhere and it loads instantly. No delay, no loading required. Definitely can't do that when i test it here.

In Vancouver, Rogers/Fido typically has the upper hand, but it all depends on where you are, so your mileage may vary. Quote:

Definitely can't do that when i test it here. | Regulation, rules and radio spectrum vary vastly in Canada vs. Asia. Agreed that speeds in Asia are lightning fast. 5G is still in it's infancy in North America, so it will be a while until we can get something comparable. I don't have any use cases that require 5G so I am okay with 4G speeds. It's a very different culture in Asia where people are watching videos in super high definition or gaming on mobile in the subway system. I'm more worried about getting shanked in the TTC or Skytrain than watching any videos on my phone.
Then again, I'm using an iPhone 7, so...yeah.
