Washington, LA, maybe Isles would be but Vegas with their injured players back is as good as any team.
Damn, skinner let in a bunch of stinkers, exactly what the kings needed

^ maybe all the more reason not to try for Western Confernece #1 seed ... but then, only 1 pt separated NSH and VGK. I suppose #7 & #8 seed could have gone either way.

Yah VGK got both Stone and Hertl back right before the end of the season and the playoffs... that's 2 top 6 forwards, arguably top 3 on some teams.
They're stacked, sandbagged like crazy for awhile and turned it on... no way they're actually an 8 seed team with that roster.
They also got Pieterangelo back for G1 against Dallas too...

I never really paid much attention to Eichel until we went to the Vegas game but he’s a great player as well and potentially underrated in the league imo. He’s a huge driver of play and a game breaker on a team stacked with good players

How do people feel paying like >$400-500 for tickets and the team loses? Eg. game 2 here or I see the Leafs fan on HNIC yesterday (prob more like $750 - $1K per ticket) ?!
Of course, I know it is a possibility. If it was a win like game 1 vs. NSH ... great environment, maybe worth it? But you walk out of arena when they lose ... That's gotta feel really really shitty.
For this reason alone, even if I could afford a playoff ticket ... that's a hard sell for me.

I paid $410 for lower bowl seats game 1, felt like a bargain for the experience.
Sports are a tough thing, I’ve been to probably 150 games in the last 20 years (a lot of them free so it’s easier to say this probably lol)more often the games are complete garbage, but those times you get those gems, OT winners, shoot out wins, an atmosphere like game 1, that’s why you “risk” spending the money you do to go to an event imo

For this reason alone, even if I could afford a playoff ticket ... that's a hard sell for me. | Well, first of all, buying a playoff ticket to cheer on our Canucks, is never a guarantee that the team wins.
An upper bowl ticket to a Canucks playoff game on the team website, is selling for about 500 to 600 bucks. These are corner seats too.
I guess that some people pay that amount of money for playoff tickets in order to cheer and support the team in person and for the sensory experience of being at the game. The loud cheering, the overall atmosphere.
If I am buying tickets to a playoff game, I'll know it's a bit of a gamble in terms of the outcome of the game.
Having said that, Tocchet asked fans who are at Rogers Arena to be LOUD. -not just be reactive to the game. If the Canucks are trailing in a game, cheer on the team no matter what happens. Wave those towels!!!
I think that some players play even better, with a morale boost, with Canucks fans cheering loud during a playoff game. They feed off the energy of the fans. I heard some chatter from post game interviews with Tocchet that some players were quite surprised about how loud fans were cheering in game 1.
Go Canucks go!!! Game 3!!! Make those fans be quiet on Friday night in Nashville!
My first ever Canucks playoff game at Rogers Arena was way back in 2001. West Coast Express days with Naslund, Morrison, and Bertuzzi.
Sideshow Bob, Bob Essensa, was the goalie in net for game 3.
Canucks vs. Avalanche in round 1. It was game 3. A buddy and I watched that game at the arena. The atmosphere in the arena was awesome.
-don't remember how much my friend and I paid for tickets back in 2001 haha. We had a great time at the game.
It was a worst outcome for the Canucks in that game 3. Swedish meatball Peter Forsberg scored the overtime winner.
I remember some of the fans sitting behind me and my buddy were so pissed. One dude had violent thoughts. I clearly remember him saying that "I'm gonna go down to the lower rows so that I can throw some batteries at the refs".
Canucks were given a penalty during overtime in that game 3. Forsberg scored a PP goal and overtime.
Thank goodness the arena has much stricter security measures now compared to 2001. Good luck to fans trying to get batteries past the metal detectors and security guards at the arena in order to throw batteries at Nashville players or the refs.

The loudest game I ever went to by far was game 7 against the flames in 2004 when Matt Cooke scored with 10 seconds left or whatever to send it to OT
Was screaming at the top of my lungs and I could not hear myself at all.
Went to game 2 and 5 of the 2011 finals, that OT goal by burrows in game 2 was probably second but not even close to that 2004 game

^ That memory is so painful, from pure elation to crying... Jovo jumping up and down like a wild monkey in the penalty box.
Low key one of the worst personnel decisions the Canucks ever made in those years was not keeping Martin Gelinas around. I think he scored the winner for Calgary? Dude was money in the playoffs for every team he ever played for.

Ghallgher……..in……. *goal horn goes*….. scores!

Guy truly loved the game though

Some good news for the team:
Vancouver Canucks defenceman Tyler Myers will be back in the lineup for Game 3 of the team's first-round playoff series against the Nashville Predators.
Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet confirmed with reporters Thursday that Myers, who missed Game 2 due to the flu, will play Friday.

For this reason alone, even if I could afford a playoff ticket ... that's a hard sell for me. | This is why I insisted on being at game 1 despite the price tag ($487.50, Section 310 Row 2). The pent up anticipation of not seeing playoffs in 9 years combined with all the hype before the game made for a wild experience. The guy beside me said "even the first few minutes before the game made it worth the price" and I agree. There were even go canucks go chants during warmups lol. Obviously we all wanted them to make it "worth" our money but I think I still would have been satisfied with the way the crowd supported our team. After the game things were still raucous so the entire night was enjoyable.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | Big credit to coaching staff and Myers that his return is actually considered a positive now! We've shit on the guy for years now but he's been real solid this year with way less mistakes and stupid penalties. Him and Big Z are one hell of a pairing.

2 series on the verge of sweep!! I still think NYR will sweep the Caps too so maybe 3 LOL.
