I didn't notice this before, but this playoffs, I see a lot of players (e.g. McDavid, Draisaitl) chewing on their mouthguards during play! I can understand doing that after the whistle, on the bench, etc. but how does that protect your teeth during play?

Most people thought he wanted 8mil+.
The duration of his term will be primarily in his prime years.
It's whether you believe that big tape job on his hand was a legit injury he was playing through during the 2nd half of the season.
Or you believe his press conference where he got all pissy saying "no" about an injury.
Like Pettersson... his play just suddenly fell off a cliff in the 2nd half of the season. At this point, we're all praying it better be the cause of an injury.

lots of talk about Canucks having serious interest in Guentzel (again). We definitely need a top 6 winger to play with Petey. He wouldn't be cheap though, 8-9M seems to be the agreed upon estimate.
Signing such a forward would basically mean no to a lot of our UFAs due to cap crunch.

I don't know what the hell OEL was doing - he totally gave up on the play. Even Bennett came back to try and check McDavid before he scored the EN.

It's too much of a payout with too many holes to fill still. The most we could probably pay him is 7M and be somewhat safe, but even that's stretching it.
