What is salary exchanged ... Kuzy was $5.5M ... what is Lindholm? Not that it matters much if he is UFA next year but they say, subtraction of a heavy contract is also an upgrade so if Canucks shed $5.5M of room next yeart, they'll need it for Petey
The odds barely moved, Canucks are behind Stars, Avs and Oilers to win the West and 7th favorite to win the cup.
Good! Less pressure if you're not the favoured Cup winner.

the trade basically gives the Canucks 2 mill in room to add a piece at the trade deadline. Also I think it helps with the cap next year since they are under a certain number at the trade deadline as well.
I feel bad for the hundreds of people I saw wearing Kuzie jerseys at the game the other night.. I had a feeling this was coming and grimaced internally each time I saw one.

Will miss Kuzy a ton, seems like a great teammate and great guy overall but happy with this trade
Not too bummed out about losing Hunter, probably the most expendable prospect at this time and Allvin sold high and worth it for someone like Lindholm. Didn't lose Hoglander, Podkolzin, Willander, Lekkeremaki, Raty, Petey 2.0.
Chris Tanev coming back to Vancouver? Can always use a veteran defenceman for a playoff run.
The scouting report on Lindholm from the article:
To Vancouver: Elias Lindholm
My analysis is very fresh when it comes to Lindholm. I’ve been tracking his play pretty religiously for an extended period of time.
This is how I described him in my most recent scouting report from a week ago:
Vancouver gets a player who will embrace the three-zone detail its coaching staff values. When Lindholm isn’t producing offence, he can be relied upon to take key faceoffs in all areas of the ice and in any situation.
My guess is that Tocchet will put Lindholm as the second line center and put Petey on the wing.

Myers is playing much better now than he has during his entire tenure with us. I'd actually like to keep him as he is playing pretty well when paired with Zadorov. It does seem like Canucks management aren't done yet though. We'll just have to see what else they cook up before the trade deadline.

Strangely enough ... Lindholm made it to All Stars as a Flame but he will wear a Canucks jersey. If I remember, this happened once before, don't know if it was last year.

Meanwhile ours, lol. New guy ain't even on the same team!
I know ASG is all for fun, but it would have been a nice gesture if Hughes took Lindholm earlier. Subtle way of a captain welcoming a new guy to his team.
lol, only looks worse that all of the Canucks but him ended up with Hughes.

Did you guys see the presser after the draft yesterday with Buble? He was taking a friend (turns out it was Bieber) giving him a micro dose of shrooms and he was tripping balls the entire time.

so 6 players in canucks jerseys plus Tocchet. Not bad
Revamped All Star Skills Competition. I think that this competition will be more exciting to watch compared to last year`s competition given the size of the cash prize for the winner.
One million bucks.
Goalie with the most saves gets $100,000.
The National Hockey League is aiming for a similar outcome this weekend, when a reconfiguration of its All-Star Skills event debuts Friday night at Scotiabank Arena.
Streamlined to 12 players, simplified to eight events and incentivized by a $1 million prize to the winner (with $100,000 for the best of the eight goalies), it’s a very different event. Out are the kitschy local twists (remember the Fountain Faceoff in Vegas or Pitch ’N Puck in Florida?) and in is a focus on pure hockey skills.
Twelve competitors — in alphabetical order, Mathew Barzal, Leon Draisaitl, Quinn Hughes, Nikita Kucherov, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Auston Matthews, McDavid, J.T. Miller, William Nylander, David Pastrnak and Elias Pettersson — each take part in four of the first six events, competing for points based on finish.
