Conversely, all those shitty non-playoff seasons we've had in the past, it was always towards the end of the year we played hard and beat all the top teams that were already locked in for playoffs.
Still, I would be satisfied if we made it to round 2 this yr.
I'm just happy we're back in the playoffs and not just sneaking in but in a position to win the Division and at one point in serious contention to win the West or even the Presidents Trophy. Be it the Kings the Knights or whoever we play it'll be tough regardless. A 1st round exit is very much in the cards and I'd say the same even if we were playing well. I just hope we can continue to build and be a playoff team for some years to come.

I haven't really been checking up on Kuzmenko. I recall he had a slow start in Calgary. pointless in 6 games in a row, and now he has 14 pts in the last 8 games. On a bit of a heater.

He's on their 1st line and 1st PP unit I believe. Of course some really want to push the we (Calgary) won the trade narrative but this was a trade where both teams needed to get something done and both achieved it so regardless who player success both teams win. We gained over 5mill in cap space for this year and next and Calgary got some assets back for a player on an expiring contract. I think most people liked Kuz and want to see him do well, no but hurt if he tears it up over there good on him.
