He was sick of all the travel I think and quietly retired, I think also to some degree, without knowing anything insider, I always felt like he was sick of being the voice of the leafs. Always felt like he had so much more passion calling the Canucks.
I’ll give Singh credit, at first it definitely felt like the diversity hire but he’s actually come a long way, he’s pretty good now

If you had to get up from your seat or look away from the TV for a moment, you'll have no idea what's happening just listening to him. Shorty will actually describe things as they unfold.

The only time that I remember Singh’s commentator work for NHL games is the goal call in game 1 between the Penguins and the Sharks during the 2016 SCF.

I pull my hair out when I watch highlights for American games, Singh's better than all of them and pretty neutral.
