How would he put a fake carbon fibre vinyl on the roof of a convertible? I think most early 350's have already been trashed. 240s are more rare now.

it has to be automatic.

it has to be with those fucked up projector headlights that basically shoot lasers into peoples eye balls, along with some clapped out clear "altezza" taillights

and it has to basically blow smoke out the tailpipe due to a leaking head gasket

When I was 28 (13 years ago now :( ) I bought someone's bugeye WRX project with a hybrid STI block and all the goodies... I was a little embarassed with the loud subaru exhaust and even louder blowoff valve that 21yo me would have loved to blast around in.

Nowadays my 997 gives me the analog visceral sports car experience and the aftermarket exhaust is loud enough to be fun. I miss the JDM world a ton but in my 40s it's just not me anymore.

I will update my signature... unfortunately I sold the Miata back to ICBC, huge regret, but at the time, it seemed the right move...

- paid me 12K for the car (they wanted 9K buy back)
- that is without the hardtop and summer wheels which I sold for another 3.5K

So overall I came out 15.5K... for a car I paid $4500 for in total (yes, back then $4500 got you a 1.8L torsen LSD miata with a roll cage, coilovers, sway bars, exhaust, 2 sets of wheels + hardtop)

The car was beat on for my full ownership (still full warmup before redline, and full cool down before turning off ofc), without missing a beat except for 1 seized passenger rear caliper... that cost $130...

God I love that car...

I've had my car for 12.5 years now. I never outgrew it because I'm basically a 14 year old with bills though the car has gone through a few different styles over the years. It's honestly not even the right car for the kind of driving I like but it's close enough. I also saved it from being parted out and scrapped so I've got a bit of a weird attachment to it. By any measured performance metric it's terrible but imo how a car feels to drive is so much more important. It's small and has pop up headlights and an obnoxious blow off valve and stupid green wheels and underglow and it feels very basic and connected. I like the stuff that reminds of how old it is like the sound it makes when you shut the door with the window down. I also love that I've been through it so many times that I know loads about how it works and how things are set up. Though that also means it was my fault when I later have to deal with something I did wrong. It's also not worth anything to sell so even though I don't use it a ton it's easier to justify keeping it.
