Just what we need ... another massive SUV for soccer moms, especially in small Richmond parking spots.

From the video, this SUV doesn't have the same kind of presence that the sedan brings. The wheelbase-to-height proportions feel weird, and it looks like a knock off of a few luxury SUVS + GV80. Maybe they look better in person, if I ever get to see one first-hand.

The minivan-doors are a cool option though, as is that Murano Crosscabriolet-inspired convertible Century. Though I think they should've based the convertible off of the sedan, and bring out a Century minivan variant based on the Alphard.

Yea I'm not sure how they can really make it better as the Alphard is already so good, + Lexus Lm, it looks like you have less room than an Alphard too.

These cars are ultra impractical. My dad bought 10,20,30 series Alphard and there is a LM350 at work, they are only people carriers, moving those rear seats are headache, my Mazda 5 can carry more shit than all of them.

by the way, the 30 series Alphard v6 gives us only 5km per liter in avg. Maybe whitev70r is right, Richmond will be flooded with these cars.

I've been really worried about all the executives and dignitaries not being able to be productive or think about profound things or get adequate rest in their chauffeured vehicles... I'm so glad Toyota has decided to address this pressing societal matter.

Sadly it’s still Japanese and only the Japanese will see any inherent value in the name plate. For everyone else it’ll just be a overpriced Toyota a la ratrolla 500.

It’ll never sell

Had to do some conversion for that MPG figure and thats like, 20L/100KM? That seems really high?

Really high ? It’s made to be really opulent.

People who buys centuries aren’t exactly giving a shit about fuel savings (nor drive their own cars for that matter).
Pretty sure this weighs the same as a small moon due to all the Japanese lacquer and peasant corpses grounded up to dust to make the flip down visors / rear seat tables

P.s. my buddy who works at Openroad Lexus told me that the replacement fold out table for the LS sedan rear executive seat was 22k. One table. Hahahahha

These aren't meant to be practical, hasn't the Century always been meant for a rich guy to be chauffeured around in?

You don't buy a Century to drive, you buy a Century to be driven in.

Comment was in reference to the Alphard getting 20L/100KM. I guess these aren't cargo workhorses like the Hi-Ace. Triad kidnapping cars for the win.

Well-aware that the people riding around in a Century couldn't give a ratsbutt about their fuel consumption lol. I'd like to ride in one of these some day.
