If people will buy m2, ix and that ugly ass 750e someone will buy a cyber truck. And honestly it's not that bad at least it's backed by Tesla and you know they will improve on it, and not get abandoned like the Koreans. I rather roll around in this than a f150ev or a Hummer ev. Also after market support will be huge, they are literally the apple of cars. |
Appl and Tsla is an interesting parallel.. Apple actually makes good products though. |
Company blows with bat shit Elon at the helm. Their products are okay, but he’s doing the most damage to the company by being so visible on the global stage. You can’t disassociate Tesla from Elon and that’s hurting Tesla more than panel gaps and shit build quality. |
I'm frankly also concerned about the lack of news for more through refreshes for their bread and butter cars (3, S, X, Y). There have been facelifts, but at their core, they're still older designs. I guess they do have the advantage of still having a competitive EV drivetrain. As far as I'm concerned, the Cybertruck and Semi are not going to be volume products that will bring in huge revenue. |
all those have seen updates throughout, except for the X if im not mistaken wouldn't mass production of CT and finally making the roadster make more sense than updating the X? |
I'm sure they will make it work, they have a track record of making it work. They can focus on ev r&d while legacy makers are still burning money developing gas cars and trying to convert them to fit batteries. I'm pretty sure besides China evs every other EV maker is loosing money on each car they sell. |

I went to see it today at Langley Tesla on my way home from T&T. I'm biased AF, but pictures and videos you see online don't do justice to this beast. It's insane standing right next to it. It's not as big as I thought it's going to be, but it's still massive. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...2a2e5862_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...1d252984_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...68813ba1_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...942e9e07_b.jpg |

Why do they tape it off? Was this just a display or something? Do most dealers not let people even touch mass produced products they are trying to sell? I'll be somewhat interested in how all these sharp angles sound at 100km/h. My 4runner gets a little noisy at 120... though the Defender I had was much worse at anything above 80. Obviously those are gas/diesel and that does cover a lot of the wind noise. |
tbh it's kind of growing on me :heckno: |

Can't wait to see one jacked up on 37" muds lol |
I can't wait for one of these to almost knock me off the Knight Street bridge. |

Take a look at the wheels/tires anyone notice anything? https://electrek.co/wp-content/uploa...ruck-wheel.jpg |
Tires look proprietary with those notches in the rubber to accommodate the “spokes”? |

This seems like one of those "seemed like a good idea at the time" elements that get changed before they complete the design |

I wonder what those tires are rated for, the tread looks pretty aggressive but I'm sure they also wanted to keep the weight down as much as possible so are they just P-metric? |
mars rover wheel was just concept? photo from langley few post up (the 6 lug one) would be what production would be closer to if not identical still curious to see 2nd row headroom lol |
