Those are just aero covers that go over the wheels just like model 3,Y have. They can be taken off, re aligned, ect.

SkinnyPupp 11-29-2023 08:28 PM

Oh, hubcaps are in again, cool

underscore 11-29-2023 08:38 PM

So they're just snapped on?

The sidewalls for the tire are custom to match the hubcaps. They also don't line up that well in some locations.

Oh excellent! so base model Corolla LEs were always cool then.

JDMDreams 11-30-2023 08:43 AM

At least the cover to the edge of the rim so when Chinas curb the wheel you can just replace the cover and not damage the wheel like their current designs.

Tesla Cybertruck

Did anyone see the video of the Cybertruck towing a 911 and beating a 911 in a drag race?

Musk brags at the end of the video "Wait, there's more". Video of the finish line shows the toy truck towing a 911 and beating the other driver in another 911.

Honestly, I am not impressed by this toy truck.

The 911 would smoke that toy truck in a circuit race. The real measure of a vehicle's handling is a circuit race.

All those Tesla fan boys in that video "oohing, ahhing" at the Cybertruck towing a 911 and beating a driver in another 911. LUL

Porsche engineering >>> Tesla engineering.

He is not comparing handling. He is comparing acceleration.

tegra7 11-30-2023 01:02 PM

Cause full size pickup trucks are meant for circuit racing.

That is my point about these so called tests. Where is the independent testing of Teslas compared to other vehicles in terms of handling? Only acceleration?

Sure, Musk can show the drag race comparisons all he wants to people.

Let's see the Cybertruck handle itself on a circuit against a 911 Turbo.

Will a Cybertruck have better handling and a better lap time against a 911 Turbo in a circuit race? Hmm.

Let's see that green 911 go offroading or carry multiple sheets of plywood. Do you think it can beat the cybertruck in any of those tasks?

Looking at the price and seeing the reaction. Looks like many people will dropping out of the pre-order.

JDMDreams 11-30-2023 02:21 PM

Well I mean you can spend 3 times the cost of the top cyber truck and get this

Can you actually buy that from Porsche? My understanding is that they are all sold out.

Badhobz 11-30-2023 03:18 PM

Price doesn’t seem that insane for what is supposedly is. That kind of nut bag design and only charging 70k for it ?! Seems like a steal

underscore 11-30-2023 03:30 PM

Yeah cause we need dumbasses with trailers being able to crash into people even more easily. What a useless metric. Especially without even stating which model of 911 is used.

freakshow 11-30-2023 04:06 PM

not gonna lie.. I kinda want one

MarkyMark 11-30-2023 05:12 PM

I still wouldn't want one but the ones that have the matte black wrap on them look a lot better imo.

Your statement also applies to the Cybertruck so ???

hud 91gt 11-30-2023 07:22 PM

Why get your panties in a knot and defensive about Porsche.

It’s impressive it can beat a sports car in a straight line. It’s doing sports car things, in a big ass ugly truck. Can it handle ad well? At 3-4x the weight probably not. But neither will a competing truck.

At these prices, I bet it will be a bit of a flop, except in Vancouver. Where they will replace G wagons. Lol. What a stupid vehicle. A cool vehicle, but what a stupid vehicle. lol.

Hehe 11-30-2023 07:32 PM

It's a bit disappointing that there's no more of the 500miles variant.

But I guess it makes sense. It was going to be a lot of batteries in there and hauling all that weight all the time is stupid.

Assuming the range extender is something I can take on and off, I'd pick a dual-motor with RE when it does become available.

SkinnyPupp 11-30-2023 07:44 PM

Are we getting mad when a company boasts an insane 0-60? I know Elon is a total creep and a goober, but come on.

MarkyMark 11-30-2023 07:46 PM

Word on the street is the range extender is 16k USD and takes up half the bed space.
