I was actually thinking of getting one of the reservation from fleebay for around 2k to have it delivered to my brother who lives in Teslaland (Fremont, CA) and just drive it up for the time being until we can officially import one (it's not yet on the admissible list). But it's hard to have any seller to commit that they would assist all the way to make sure Tesla delivers it.

That Model X I posted has been rented 26 times on Turo for over a grand.

Acoroding to this a Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce was rented for $7500 for a music video and that was in 2017.

If they can afford those shoes, they would already have one on order and just wait. All the mean time DD their Model X or Gwagon. lol. Doubt they would need or care to rent.

Harvey Specter 12-12-2023 10:51 AM

The risk with renting this thing is someone will go beast mode and wrap it around a pole.

It'll be interesting to see if ICBC adds the Cybertruck to the special risk own damage policy. It's an easy process will add thousands to the basic insurance.

People like to show off. A G wagon is a dime a dozen. People spend 100K plus on weddings. What's another 3k to have a vehicle at your wedding that no one has seen in person?

You can set the max speed on a Tesla and you can see how fast someone is driving on your phone. I took my dad's Model X for a test drive and when I came back he was not looking too happy.

wat? you want flashy at wedding and youre gonna rent a fantuan / uber eats car?

maybe the cybertruck for novelty but i dont think any bride wants to be seen getting in and out of a pickup truck unless its one of THOSE weddings.

bcrdukes 12-12-2023 12:24 PM

Worst Wedding. Ever.

In a Sikh wedding, the bride and family are already at the temple. The groom's family rolls up to the temple. What better way to roll up than in a vehicle no one else has?

maybe roll up in something that's not ugly?

OMG nothing like focusing on the important stuff in life!!

"So, at our son's wedding... you know... HIS big day not ours... we drove up in a car nobody else had! BLEW EVERYONE'S MIND! Pretty sure they're still going to be talking about what we rolled up in 10 year from now!"

Like a horse? Some people from another wedding had given the horse something containing weed.

Surrey B.C.

I have seen all types of shit. Including a helicopter at a wedding reception and the Rolls from this Drake video.

68style 12-12-2023 01:52 PM

I was at one of these weddings when the bride and groom rode in on a horse and the parents rented an entire estate and rolled up in a 1920's Rolls Royce they rented.

They got divorced within 2 years

All that pomp and showy $$$ down the drain for nada lol

I realize it's not that long, but I'd be interested in knowing what faults your wife is seeing.

Aside from the rear seats being too narrow for the boosters I own, I am loving this thing. I think the way they handle the power 'requests' has been very well calibrated. I don't notice the traction control preventing it from spinning the wheels, or the switch over to regen as I lift on a decline. It's very well manged.

Other than the doors not unlocking sometimes she mostly complains about the software not working properly all the time. The one thing she mentioned recently was that the screen randomly turns off at times. Other quality of life improvements that we would like to see change is the welcome screen when you turn on the vehicle, it should go away on its own. The reverse camera should turn off when you shift into drive. They need to update the map with something better as it looks like it's out of an 15 year old Honda.
The menus and the overall interface are not very intuitive. Those are the only ones I can think of but there's more.

Does Sikh weddings involve cunty ass mother in laws bitching about shit ? Cuz that’s like every single Chinese wedding.

Plus it’s uncouth to steal the limelight from the bride and groom with your audacious refrigerator like stylez kindly alluded to.

If Manic! was getting married, I think he would want to show up in a Cybertruck.

This is common lol. My uncle literally mortgaged his house to pay for my cousins wedding, he got divorced 3 months later.

bcrdukes 12-12-2023 04:56 PM

Damn, son.

Hondaracer 12-12-2023 05:47 PM

Imagine how fucking embarrassing it would be to have some big flashy wedding where you thought a fucking cybertruck was going to be a feature only to get divorced shortly after lol fuck

IMO the only Tesla that looks even remotely stylish is Model S plaid, it actually looks like a well designed sports car, while I wouldn’t ever put it on the same as scale as any Porsche etc. it has very attractive lines and I really like the look

https://i.imgur.com/cgP5aPR.jpg

Every other vehicle Tesla has designed is just meh to downright ugly. Model 3 looks like an AI created Budget sedan, and the X, while higher end models look OK with nicer rims and trim, Low end/older
Models look like 90’s mini vans.

Badhobz 12-12-2023 07:06 PM

even this is getting lame because it's been more or less the same shape since its inception. Although i agree it is the best looking one out of the bunch of uglies.

EvoFire 12-12-2023 07:07 PM

^ Only interesting bit is the colour matched license plate holder.

SkinnyPupp 12-12-2023 07:30 PM

Don't trick yourself into treating a car like an investment unless you want to own a fleet and rent them all out. Buy it for yourself
