https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...2-20257ce590a3

Production looks like it will start soon. A number of trucks have been spotted on the road.

This one has a Toyota wrap.

This one has an f150 wrap.

The wrap makes it look a lot better.

Also it’s broken on top of a tow truck bed. Typical.

Cdn deliveries expected next yr? I figured the tri motor would be $110K, now with talk of quad motor it has to be upwards of $150K. With high interest rates and 3rd consecutive year of work cutting my pay, if order finalizing happens before next June I’ll likely pass. Or thinking out loud I could sell a bunch of cars and get it.

There was some pics of it next to a rivian and I think it's actually smaller than a rivian so it's not that big.

North American lifestyle really calls for a pickup, especially when you have kids and you want to enjoy that outdoor lifestyle. Be it bikes, snowboards, the occasional load at HD/Ronas... whatever.

I always thought of buying one but never actually pulled the trigger because 95% of the time, it'd be driven as a normal car and it's just too much.

The way CT was designed, I think it fits the regular Joe perfectly. It's got no paint... so you can beat the shit out of it. It has a motorized tonneau cover, which IMO is crucial to differentiate itself from a work truck vs. a regular folk lifestyle. In work setting, you don't really care the motorized part, but for average consumer, it'd be so much nicer/easier in life.

What really pushed me over, other than being a total Tesla freak was the supposed 500miles of range. That'd be the only version I'm interested of getting. It's the perfect range of a day worth of driving. By the time I'm done driving 500 miles or so, it's about time to find a hotel and call it a day on a road trip with kids.

For those who commented it being too big, it's actually slightly shorter and narrower than a F150. So, relatively compact as far as a full size pickup goes.

If you own a detached home, a truck is almost a necessity.

Since I’ve got rid of my truck it’s a huge headache to do even small projects around the house. Unless you have a full sized SUV along the lines of Escalade, explorer, etc. you just can’t carry big shit around.

Like, I needed a 12 foot 1x2 and there’s no way I can get it home.

This whole idea of like Europeans don’t need trucks so why do you?!?!

Because most Europeans live in apartments not big single family homes like a lot of North America.

Yea I think I need a van again, I bought some Costco garage racks and it was a bitch to fit inside a model 3 and fit 4 people + dog. Can't afford the gas for an Escalade, even something like a rx350 or x5 won't fit comfortably

Rent a u-haul trailer for the day to carry it back. Its pretty friggin simple without resorting to such a huge vehicle for the odd time you need to move such crap.

I daily an F150 and it's really not that bad. If you lived downtown then perhaps not but other than that it's pretty rare that I find it too large to drive around.

Now that I have a kid the extra room is nice, and if you're moving something that's dirty as fuck you just throw it in the bed and not think twice about it.

The only time it can get annoying is parking spots that are too small for even a regular size car. You get used to parking further out to where there's more space, but I did that back when I had a car too to avoid door dings.

Rent a u-haul to transport a $13 peice of lumber? Lol no thanks

I know lots of people with trucks and my dad has a new truck I can borrow at will, but it’s still a huge headache and I can’t just go and do what I want when I want, its moreso arranging things well ahead of time which I hate

I've moved stuff like that with my wifes old Matrix lol. Pop up hatch glass is awesome. Now I just toss it on the roof of the Rav or pop the glass on my Grand Cherokee. Unless you're doing a lot of big jobs you can get away without a truck pretty easily, but even then I'd rather buy a utility trailer. Way easier to load and unload and you don't have to drive a truck all the time.

As someone who has lived there, I can tell you DIY is still a big thing. It's just done with vans and 'estate' cars.

Well if I had a truck I could grab a box load of soil for top dressing, materials, etc.

I don’t need it as much now that I’m done most of my Reno’s but I would have been screwed when I was in the midst of it.

An example of how much more shit costs to get it delivered etc.

Landscape depot on grandview charges like $50 for a yard of sand soil mix if they load it into your box. The same load delivered was like $180.

For me it’s not just that type of stuff, I’d be more into buying toys like dirt bikes etc. if I had a truck, whereas having only a car now, it’s completely out of the question

Seems like lousy excuses for a truck. 1) get less people. 2) go more often 3)have it delivered.
