^ I must say though, as much as the falcon doors are a headache, I really like them. It makes what is otherwise a very mundane and boring blob of an SUV fun. I'm waiting to see what updates are going to be brought in for the S and X. Not that I would buy them but I am curious since they are quite long in the tooth. |
Does not look like it's selling well in Canada. https://www.torquenews.com/11826/tes...-mine-december |

I don't think it's not selling well, it's that it's the super expensive one. And % rates. If it was like $60k then it will sell like hot cakes but it's like double the price. Just like how gtrs were $85000 when they first came out now they are $250k, or c8 Corvettes. |

they should have just made a model Y and added a bed to it. easy peasy, prints money. |
They should just make a model 3 wagon, I will buy. But I do trust Tesla, with their track record, what new product isn't shit, would you but a first year usdm or German car? Just look at frisker, f150 EV, Toyota V6 turbos blowing up. And this isn't an evolution of an old model, this is brand new 100% from scratch. I trust yilong. Cuz who else is gonna have the balls to do it. And they are pushing technological limits. |
Kadyrov has one for his TicToc warriors So I guess we'll see how well this does shooting up empty buildings miles behind the front line, or taking out retreating Russian PMCs. Hopefully we'll get a good FPV drone test too. |
No surprise he lives in the pinnacle of luxury while all his soldiers die in the mud |

Apparently some CTs are being delivered with the new Core wheels and tires that make a huge improvement on efficiency vs. the original A/T tires. Based on the driving efficiency of it, it could go past 400miles from 100-->0%. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-cybe...0range%20total. |
Oh well that changes everything, I'll put my order in right away lol A truck with tires that can't go offroad. Makes sense. |

I think it's pretty capable off-road with the right tires... I mean... it can adjust power between wheels that's a great feature. It maybe lacks some sturdiness but I'm not talking about rock climbing here. I mean, without proper A/T tires at my work guys can't even go up mild grades on gravel or dirt roads on all seasons. |
I didn’t think anyone complained about the range. More about the ugliness, the rust, the shit build quality, sharp edges, bait and switch, etc etc |

It's ridiculous... like when we buy trucks, we have the option from the manufacturer to spec A/T tires on the vehicle for a pretty minimal amount of $ over the regular tires, but we don't even bother because the ones they pick are so shit we just end up having to dump em right away anyway. |

I'm sure it is! I just find it... slightly amusing, at least to me, that Tesla is advertising a tire that's useless for anything except pavement pounding to increase mileage on their truck which is supposed to be... well.. a truck? Like Hobz said, I don't think anyone was complaining about the range of the CT. |
I mean most ppl don't off road or tow in the truck, something like 70% never tow and 80% use the bed less than once a month |
Most trucks are just used as emotional support vehicles that never see dirt or do anything truck-like in their entire existence. For the CT I wonder if it's most about reducing the weight of the tires so they stop breaking suspension and steering so easily. |
I mean... is there even a tradeoff to dailying a truck? I found base 5.0 XLT just as fast, economical, reliable but also more comfortable, better driving assists, and fits tall people/my dog better than X5/6 40i. That said, we do actually tow daily in our household for our small biz ..... a lot of the time with the Lightning instead of the 5.0 to save on gas cost. I think the CyberTruck is for these people who want a "G-Wagon" version of a pickup. Chevy Silverado / Sierra EV are the real EV trucks for ppl who do truck stuff.. but holy fuck they look ugly. |

Parking is fair, it's 2 feet longer than an Odyssey and might not fit in most garages. Both cars, however, auto parallel park themselves Fuel efficiency - the 5.0 got the exact same highway at 130kmh and city mileage as the X6 Headlight wise, F150 has had the matrix headlights for a few years. |

Fuel efficiency in city is worse for trucks than other cars (maybe not the X6) but EV efficiency etc so it can be a wash. Not every F-150 is optioned with the fancy LED headlights (which the matrix function also doesn't come activated because archaic USA rules) - the reflector headlight halogens are pretty damn bad with light spill too, and especially if the owners add a leveling kit to get rid of the rake. |
