Aren't you thinking about moving? Would you bring it with you?
Duty & taxes bringing our $20k BMW i3 to Toronto was already in the thousands of dollars. The R1T was going to be in 5 figures, and I ultimately noped out of that.

Nop. F&F has agreed to take it over from me if I do end up moving. Same as the Plaid.
And for places I'm looking to move to, bringing a CT was never an option. Regardless whether it's EU or SA, they either don't allow it to be imported or it's just PITA as the charging port would be incompatible and whatever. Makes little sense to bring a NA spec Tesla abroad.
The price cut you guys are mentioning is just because US discontinued the Foundation Series, which come with a whole bunch of stuff like FSD, lifetime connectivity, accessories, 2-way charger and panels (so CT can act like a battery to power the house) and whatnot.
Canada only has the FS for now.
My previous comment was referring to some option plays I made yesterday going into the earning call. Got a bunch of penny options expiring tomorrow. Made some decent money.
Saw one with BC plates (pretty sure it was BC plates) last week being white-knuckle driven by a young Asian woman. Given how anxious she looked, Richmond driving is about to get a lot more interesting. Not sure how she got behind the wheel of one - look like deliveries aren't happening until next week for BC owners.
The Cybertruck has had 5 recalls 2 that where fixed by an ota update, 2 that needed a tech and one that will be fixed in the future. Zack has stopped towing with his truck do to how the hitch is mounted to the truck. Not being able to tow with a truck is a pretty big deal.
Congrats! Though as a cheap chinamen I don’t know how I feel about the Americans getting big discounts and us not getting shit for the same vehicle.
It's really the same thing.
At one point, a buddy of mine (who also got invited for the first batch of delivery) was trying to talk me out of getting it.
Same argument, non-Foundation Series (FS) is coming, it's much cheaper... blah blah.
But then I told him to try pricing out a non-FS CT on US site, the saving was really just from the option of opting out FSD. But once he added the wheel/tires he wanted (the A/T that came standard on FS, a 3500USD option), and all the stuff he wanted that FS came standard, ultimately the difference was only a grand or two and the FSD. All that for waiting another god-knows-how-long...
Then he ended up picking it up instead of cancelling his order.
