Love seeing Tesla redditors getting big mad at a meme

That’s lit, as in you’ll likely catch fire given the odds

This is not a lightning. This looks like an older F250 etc.

Tesla is such a weird segment lol.. it’s like.. the car for the car guy that isn’t really a car guy

For me, CT is just an EV that I can beat the shit out of it. And the original announced 500miles range.

It's just a perfect vehicle for the Canadian lifestyle.

My friends who are interested in EV pickups often ask me why I don't get a Rivian or Lightning, and the answer is quite simple. Lightning wasn't designed as an EV, and Rivian R1T is too delicate.

They are awesome trucks. Just not enough to convince me because I don't really take care of my cars. I want something I could beat it to the ground.

CT is a Tesla, so I know they designed it as an EV. Its SS exterior allows me to care nothing about it and it's got the range.

I am not actually a complete fan of the design. I remember watching the announcement, and when it drove on the stage the first time. In my mind was like "this gotta be a joke right?" But as the announcement went along... I couldn't care less about the design. It's got everything I wanted as a "beater" truck. It could look like my dick and I'd proudly drive it.

Today's truck are too overly form over function. They look pretty (Rivian) or mean (Raptor), but they don't have what I need.

MarkyMark 11-17-2023 05:08 AM

I can't wait for someone to try driving this thing like a Raptor and it literally falls apart. What kind of torture tests has this thing been through to prove it can take abuse?

its built like elon's ego.... fragile

You must be saying all this just to rile us up right? Cause you can't have your head this far up that anti-semite's ass can you? You're the xenomorph from Alien popping out of Elon's chest at this point.

The idea is to use it like it’s beaten up.

I’ve owned aluminum luggage cases before they were a thing. They have travelled everywhere with me. With stickers, dents and whatever everywhere. And I always get complimented on how cool my cases look and asked me about what I do with them to look like that. I just tell them “just use the crap out of them. And if dented or deformed, find an auto body shop to fix it for you.”

I applaud people to take good care of their cars both in and out and to have a 10yr beater like they came out of the dealership lot. But that’s not me. I keep the mechanical up to date. Always service as needed. Wash every couple of weeks when I’m near the car wash place and that’s it. It’s a tool to get me from a to b and have some fun with. It’s not a display piece.

Badhobz 11-17-2023 08:50 AM

Sounds like you need a Camry hybrid bro. I wouldn’t beat up your plaid like that, that’s mean man.

Nah. Cars are meant to be used and driven. I never understood the idea to buy a car and treat it with more care than a baby. Unless you are buying it for collection purposes, but what’s the fun of owning a car if you don’t use it fully? Mechanical is one thing, because that’s what keeping a car at its peak performance.

At some point, I was playing with an idea of getting an exotic as main driver. But the Ferrari and Lamborghini sales looked at me as a weirdo when I told them I wanted one that’s best suited for daily driving and needed one with the least amount of work. And the fact that my kids aren’t old enough to seat in the front, which are the only seats available put that idea to rest.

I’m however still hunting an NSX-R or an old version Ford GT. Heard many great things about them being super fun DDs. Not practical, but will suited as a DD.

youre my fucking hero.

daily driven exotics are truly the realm of hedonism but ultimately its such a huge waste of money. Any ferrari that has over 20,000kms you might as well write it off because the value plummets like a bitch

p.s. we still gotta find you a fan tuan magnetic sticker for lawls.

This pulled up behind me on Saturday - think we were all excited by its presence to remember any specifics (it was comparable to the size of a F-150?). It looks cool on its own but I'm not sure if I'll enjoy seeing streets full of these.
