Tesla Cybertruck

Saw one in the wild this morning.

Pretty cool, though I don't think I could ever get myself to own something that looks like this. It's a little out there lol.

SkinnyPupp 10-12-2023 10:44 PM

Pure comedy. It's almost like a troll on people who would buy one?

Maybe all cars will look like it 10 years from now though, who knows? Credit for doing something different at least.

Dbone 10-13-2023 05:02 AM

That makes the XM look gooooood.

punkwax 10-13-2023 05:36 AM

I have a personal rule not to judge any vehicle by photos alone. I will need to take a hard look in person at this one before I form an opinion.

Agreed with Skinny, credit to Tesla for doing something so wildly outside of the box.

If camper mode becomes a thing we might see plenty of these, or similar variations of, down the road due to unaffordable housing.

Then our grandchildren’s grandchildren will be rocking them on mars looking at earth as a giant national park that needs to be preserved. :okay:

68style 10-13-2023 07:12 AM

What a blight on the road, look at it size wise compared to like a frickin Jeep Cherokee next to it? It's twice the size of an already mid-size SUV? And for what purpose, can't carry shit all in the back of it with that slope.

Yah, looks super good for the environment. No raw material wastage there at all. going to be almost 7,000lbs... Rivian is 8,500... anybody driving a normal car getting into an accident with one of these doesn't stand a chance.

Better get yours soon or you'll be crushed!!

68style 10-13-2023 07:43 AM

I'll get the H1T at 9,000+!!!

I mean, if they go over 10k they gotta get safety certified every year lol

Hondaracer 10-13-2023 08:00 AM

If you thought your typical Tesla fan boy was a knob, just wait till you meet a cyber truck owner lol

My friend's CTR got hit by a red-light running Tesla Model X and both cars were fucked up. CTR was completely destroyed and the Model X no longer had a front end.

68style 10-13-2023 08:23 AM

Well there's nothing in the front end of a Tesla, just a collapse zone... so that makes sense.

trollface 10-13-2023 08:34 AM

I think modern vs modern cars are fine. The dead ppl will be anyone driving something the 90's or even early 2000's.

I keep telling my co-worker that a 96 Camry on used, mistached is frugal and all but you're gonna die.

68style 10-13-2023 08:35 AM

THAT'S ALL I DRIVE TROLLYFACE

trollface 10-13-2023 08:40 AM

Do I work with you? Bridgeport Wendy's?

Bro, the fries have been jacked up for weeks.

teggy604 10-13-2023 09:08 AM

with modern cars and all the techs, you would think the accident rate should be going down. Especially with EVs that are computers on wheels, and connected to the internet at all times. Gov't can easily regulate the speeds limit of these cars by GPS. They can set school/park zones speed limits as well as hwy speed limits.

Well, I wrote that before you threw in the 96 Camry edit... but my newest car of 5 is a 2004 lol

Someone else is responsible for your fries not being unjacked.

RabidRat 10-13-2023 10:31 AM

Lol there was that NHTSA video that showed an old car being crashed into a new car and the old car gets destroyed. There's an interview with them at the end: "what happened?"

https://memecreator.org/static/images/memes/5617808.jpg

We're getting to the point now where a new set of videos will get released. New cars getting crushed by newer cars.

https://www.mememaker.net/static/ima...es/4880672.jpg

I don't see a problem here, just need to be the bigger fucker. Crush or be crushed!!

I guess that's true too. Eventually when autonomous driving gets dialed in, you'd hope we'd be able to get off of the vehicle weight arms race :D.

trollface 10-13-2023 10:45 AM

The weight arms race won't go away. Weight is the last thing on the list for most consumers. Batteries, screens, heated/cooled seats, new safety standards, 16 airbags, batteries. The only way to cut weight is if we start building cars out of carbon or magical batteries.

Manic! 10-13-2023 11:38 AM

Saw one at the Peterson museum in LA. It's just as ugly in real life. Have a day 1 pre order.

JDMDreams 10-13-2023 12:49 PM

Are those plastic fender flares or metal? Also are those the final wheels? I thought they would do some aero wheels like the rest of the range

tegra7 10-13-2023 01:53 PM

Probably got the wheel caps off.

I guess you are new to pickups?

Majority of pickups are driven to commute, or drive to a strip mall, and might see a trip to home depot or lowes once in a blue moon. What you are describing can basically be said for all pickups lol.

twitchyzero 10-13-2023 05:29 PM

like every half ton it's too big for within vancouver but i still wanna see it go in production
sharp price drop and stack incentives could be good buy if they make a mid-size one

that'll probably be the best part, so much hate coming your way but just drive off like that 50 cent gif lol

Great68 10-13-2023 05:46 PM

Too late Tesla. I don't see any normal truck dude getting this when the Lightning and Silverado EV are available.
