I saw this at Brighton Costco last weekend, so it's likely at most if not all Costcos.

He was referring to the lift range data. Without adapter, it’s pretty low. The adapter allows it to be used effectively with SUVs and trucks. The Torin has been at Costco for quite some time, the $40.00 off is pretty recent. I believe as of today. I did take a photo of the price at one point but erased it. It had a sale end date.

The Costco lady says she sees this all the time. These Dyson vacs are not very reliable.

First time I just didn't start. Tried a new battery still no good.

Second time the vac made weird noises and the trigger would intermittently stop even though you held it down.

3rd times the charm so far but I'm not sure if can last

Damn you're scaring me with V15 reliability issues :lawl:

My previous vacuum was a Dyson v6, had that for about 7 years. Replaced the battery once. The motor head recently crapped out. The vacuum itself is very beat up but very well utilized. Now I just use it as a hand vac for my car.

Updated deal with the Dyson V15 when purchasing it directly from the website.

It's currently $799, but if you have a Perkopolis account, you can generate a coupon for an additional 10% off

Then you can stack that deal with Rakuten rebates which is at 20%.

If my math is right, the net costs should be $662 tax in and Rakuten rebate

don't buy a Dyson. over priced, over rated. stop it.

donk. 11-21-2023 07:26 AM

People buy a Dyson the same reason they buy a Mercedes

25% product, 75% logo

The Dyson canister vacuums has served me well. Recently upgraded for more power and was able to sell the old one (10 yrs old) for almost 2 bills. :D

IMO, those stick vacuums are gimmicky, but I'm looking for one to clean up after the new puppy due to the debris it brings back from walks. Any recommendations for a cheap one with HEPA filter? I'm thinking Shark if I can find a Black Friday deal.

i had a old V7 or V8 whatever "Monster". That vac has lasted over 10 years and is still going. My brother in law bought the same vac and it crapped out a year into ownership.

The only reason i bought that newer v15 is because i had such a good experience with the old one and we need 2 vacs now to gobble up all my white powder everywhere. :accepted: Thank god its costco cuz i dont think ill buy another one after this.

The wife does have 2 of those dyson hair products (curler, hair dryer) and she seems to like it. Although that curler seems to be kinda on the fritz if you rotate the cord too much so once again not the best quality.

Lol same story. V6 since 2016 and I used and abused the shit out of it. About 2 years ago the battery only lasted like 2 mins so I replaced it and it ran like a champ again and finally about 6 months ago the motorhead after years of abuse vacuuming hair from the wife made it go bye bye. I did think about buying a new motorhead but instead bought a new V12 instead. The V6 is now a secondary vacuum we just keep upstairs with the wand attachment. To be honest I'm surprised the V6 lasted that long, the amount of hair alone we vacuumed was ridiculous and the V6 didn't have the technology to handle hair like the new ones yet I would only on avg needed to take apart the motor and detangle all the hair maybe once every 12-18 months.

Personally I think that a low profile jack should be < 3 inches, but I've seen jacks as high as 3.75 inches advertised as a low profile jack.

The Costco Torin is listed as 3.34 inches which may work for most ppl, but unfortunately not for me.

Just make sure you know what you want.

I wanted a V15 but My V6 and V7 handhelds are still going strong. I ended up going with robot vacuums for the floor and my dysons for dusting.

Badhobz 11-21-2023 10:13 AM

ill tell you what is friggin fantastic. My dewalt shop vac. I used that sucker as a ghetto leaf blower, and then used it to suck up all these stinking leaves in the new place.

Finished it off with my excellent costco lawn mower and i didnt have to rake a single damn leaf so far.

JDMDreams 11-21-2023 11:09 AM

Any deals on e scooters, Costco Canada doesn't have the new ninebot max 2 yet. Not sure if I should try those Amazon brands gotrax, hiboy.

Also TV + Internet plan? Must have Chinese channel.

+1 I have a Dyson DC07 (circa 2001-2003) my parents bought refurbished 20 years ago, and it still sucks like a champ. Very easy to clean and repair and find spare parts.

Even back then people complained how its plasticky and overpriced, but honestly it's been great.

I tried the coupon and it worked from my end

Not sure why the terms and conditions say it's excluded when it works.

For anyone using the coupons, it should apply for majority of the products, even if it's excluded

Don't know about a wicked deal, but I have one of this Samsung smart monitor that doubles as a TV with a smart TV interface. It has USB-C charging for my laptop that doubles as its display cable, and is currently $350 right now ($150 off).

I heard JVC is garbage, I of course want to get her something decent.
