I saw pressed graphite TE37 SL's on a Lexus LS460 yesterday and they looked sooooooooo tiny on that car lol... just my opinion but I think this might be the first time I can say that TE's do NOT work on absolutely everything
I find all these lousy beetles overrated, but thats probably because im such a trash driver. Maybe you driving gods can extract the true "Gemeinschaft Kraft durch Freud" (strength through joy) but i personally find them twitchy, boring looking, and utterly "unsafe at all speeds" Ralph Nader style of danger (maybe the AWD versions are okay, but the regular 996,997 ive driven are terrifying)

Have you tried the newer models? 991/992? They are getting more and more GT instead of race-car. My former 991 C4 didn't wow me at all.
i did! and they arent scary no moar.... thus boring... thus even more douchey and stupid.
Although i didnt try a GT3 or anything, i did try a 991 GTS.
I really shouldnt hate on them. I mean they are great cars, probably one of the best driving cars left on the market. Name another true sports car nowadays that you can purchase new... you got a GR86, a CTR/Ratrolla GR, miata ND3...... and these flavours of 911's/718 (fuck that 4 cylinder one, 4.0 or die).
thats about it.... everything else is big, fat, heavy and not engaging. Which is perfect for an old man like me.
ohh i forgot ze americans.. Vette, Blackwings are still good. But nobody's buying them
GT3 is overrated for the $$$$$$$$$$$, it's a great car for sure but it shouldn't be $350k+
I don't think I'll ever not have a 997. It's exactly the experience I want. With the bolt-ons, tune, and coilovers it's a somewhat aggressive experience anyway.
GT3s are too precious now for me to beat on and treat like shit and modify.
Talked to a few ppl and they said bore scoring really is a matter of when not if. But if you drive it regularly and don't let it sit for months at times it's less of an issue. The exceptionally low mileage and older cars are where the problem is most prevalent.
holy shit, i didnt know the extent of this issue on porsches. It sounds even more annoying than the IMS
Some argue its a made up issue by a shop to generate revenue LOL. Similar to F8X hub crank "issue".. shop disclosed it to everyone some thinks its fear mongering.

I drove a 996 GT3 recently. Not my cup of tea. Well for starters, I feel too poor driving that car. Like GG bankruptcy if I fuck up. Anyway, I don't think I'm good enough of a driver to be driving one. It absolutely terrifies me. I don't like the loose front end feeling and I don't like not being able to coast into a corner. I understand that coasting is a no-no, but I'm driving it on the street for fucks sake.
The 964 C4 that I drove just feels like well.. an E36 M3 but more more expensive lol.

I don’t understand why the front is so light, the ass so twitchy, and why people enjoy dying every time you go around the corner and the ass is swinging in front of the car if you even so much as breath on the gas.
These are 911 hallmarks but to me it just feels dangerous.

For better or for worse, the 991 and 992 feels very much like an MR with just a little more weight bias in the back. I really enjoy the handful of times when I have the privilege to drive them around at a good clip.
I would also say that at least up to 8/10 driving, the cars are so capable that they just get the job done without any fuss. Interestingly, I don't find that boring -- I just find it really impressive.
(Then again, I'd very much admit that I'm a fanboi lol~)
