quick pic didn't work - so when in doubt, go to the Westopher school of photography:

crank all the sliders to 11

Boxster is back in Toronto!

Dropped off at Mantis Autosport in Oakville for track prep for the PCA UCR DE season.

The team will be swapping out the Koni Special Active shocks and H&R springs for a set of Motion Control Suspension 2-way adjustable coilovers (thank you lowside67.) New Hawk DTC-70 brake pad swap, with alignment and corner balancing. Oh, and seasonal maintenance, and tech inspection.

Don't you still have your 996?

By the way, maybe a question for westopher. There was a white E90 M3 parked directly across from me at Mantis with BC plates and a CG Motorsports license plate frame. Any idea whose that would be and what it is doing out on the wrong coast? Looks like its been sitting there for a while. It was covered completely in bird droppings.

So i drove the schnitzel downtown today and i had a blast. I didn't know when the exhaust gets hot, it makes farting noises out the back.

I farted on a homeless dude and he looked displeased. it made my day

Fake burbles. The M3 is the same, things need to warm before the ECU would spit out extra fuel to go pop. After 6 years of it I'm kind of tired of it now.

Is there no way to shut the crackle tune off?

I know that with Porsche's PSE, you can independently adjust whether the exhaust valves open or not. With the exhaust valves closes, the exhaust note is pretty civil.

No option for it in the M3. If I want sport mode and full boost, it'll snap crackle pop. It's very artificial as well, it's not how a real backfire is supposed to sound like. My MS3 would actually backfire for real and shit's loud AF but only does it if I put the car on heavy load.

What company did you use to ship your car? Looking at a car in Toronto that will have to be shipped to Vancouver. Thanks

I used TFX International. I’ve used them twice and did explore the market extensively.

While they aren’t the cheapest, and alternative options exist, they are a white glove service that checked off all my requirements.

^in lameman terms: Duke's is rich. he can pay thousands of dollars to ship his track car back and forth back and forth between toronto and vancouver.

That being said, this deathtrap porsche is super minty and he takes extremely good care of it.

A real RS baller would just buy another boxster. One for Vancouver one for Toronto, just like houses, one here one there and just fly in-between
