I’ve been literally driving it everywhere. I’ve gone to Squamish twice. Horseshoe bay once. Ladner, twassassen , Queensborough Walmart for lawls and krispy kream for no reason. You name it I’ve probably done the drive in the last two weeks.
Now I have some vague muscle memory of when I used to drive stick way back when and even did a few heel toe moves for fun.

The only real downside to the mk8 that I don't recall in my mk7 sportwagen is the overall cheapening of materials and build quality. They were able to shave some weight off the mk8 vs the mk7 but the rattles and cheapy plastics is noticeable vs the mk7.
Its almost 2000kms now and there are 3 distinct rattles, one on each of the front door and one in the dash close to the glove box or screen... the dash one doesn't happen all the time, but the door ones are bad in this heat. Also when the body twists, there is some weirdo creaking noise too.
Coming from a Toyota product, I forgot this is pretty norm for other automakers. my 14 year old ES is dead silent inside. This thing rattles like a Playskool kids toy | So in the M3, I put my sunglasses on the little cubby on the left under the steering wheel. BMW likes having cubbies there as all 3 BMWs has had a cubby there. One day when I was driving the M3 there was maddening rattle. It bothered me for most of the drive, then I figured out it was actually my sunglasses rattling.
The door pockets of the M3 are also of a plastic that squeaks if you put a plastic water bottle in it. Found that one out the hard way as well

I swear I sent my S2k harder in the rain on RE71Rs
It's hydroplaning and low temps that they're not great in

I guess I can drive the other Camry. | I say don't get the CC2s as it made my turning sharpness notably worse on my (heavy) car. If you're going to get a second set of wheels, go with a set of performance winters and keep your current summers on the stock wheels.

I was autoxing my MS3 on NT01 when we had a downpour in the middle of the afternoon. Because the ground was warm, and the tires were warm, I can lift a wheel even with the R comp and just mere suggestions of tread.

Update: E34 has been sold! Spent the last couple months completing a long long list of maintenance on the 190E, but happiest to have A/C working and somewhat shiny paint. Long weekend was spent covered in 3M polishing compound, giving my best shot at a 3 step cut-polish, and sealing it with some caranuba wax I had in the shed (I'm too cheap to buy another bottle of ceramic coat lol).
A sad day though, I think my reverse gear is just starting to act up. Feeling nostalgic hunting super old forum posts for answers to fix my old German POS' which used to cause oh-so-much anxiety during Uni days, but fuck it if this old German bang slab needs fixin, we fixin it. Only some will relate... (not looking at all you guys in yer' fancy new performance vehicles)
Next up: Install 4 x Big ol' Bosch rally fog lights !

Nice, it's good to have a range of things around... I like my 2024 Supra, but it doesn't have a soul like my cars from other eras... 60's through 2000's

Kawasaki often gets overshadowed by their Japanese competitors and suffer from some sort of weird depreciation hit. They have been producing some very beautiful bikes as of late and are known to be very reliable.

Motard ?! You mean I get to sit on a 2x4 or have to stand up on the pegs and use my precious knee fluids as a shock absorber ?
My balls ache just thinking about those dirt bike seats.

I always wanted to be one of those douche bag bmw bike owners who buys a GS and wears the whole bmw mortard gray outfit just to go pose at Starbucks.
Look at me ! I’m so adventurous…. Goes all of 3km to Starbucks.
About 2 years ago I almost bought this. Like I was pretty much dead set on buying it. I had the spec all picked out. Went to international MC to ride it. It was just the reliability and the fact that it takes up an entire parking spot that ultimately stopped me.
I imagined me driving around with this Soviet /
German tank with spy balloon and my chihuahuas. Would be pretty fun
