Thanks guys. Opportunity happened so I jumped on it as a mid life crisis thingy. I don't see myself being able to drive and enjoy cars like this with 130mm exhaust pipe and loud blow offs when I'm 50+, so the porsches or raris can wait. Carpe Diem!

Fitment seems ok for now as you can tell from the front. They merely just test fitted for now vs the stock panel. The shop will paint a sample in midnight purple 1 (R33 one) for me first. I want to see if the dark color will make the cf too subtle and decide whether to just clear it or color. I hear the actual painting of dry carbon is going to be just as hard as the labour now.
The roof and A pillars on mine is not going to be cut. the metal fender skin/C pillar should be cut at the original welds where just like when you buy a rear fender from Nissan. The carbon roof is actually just goes on top of it as it is slightly bigger for trimming.
The original garage active ones are all cut to the bareshell and his cars are all rollcaged or reinforced in return i believe, I don't want to do a cage. Garage Active is totally unhelpful at the moment, I felt from day one they wanted me to ship my car there for them to do. I didn't want to do that and just got a contact in Japan to buy it.
Not there yet, as they're fixing all the rust and welding now, first Nissan for me and it's very different coming from Toyotas and Hondas where they dont' have this rust problem. I'm actually told my car is already in very good condition compared to the others, even some R34s have more rust issues.
The dry carbon is very light and flexible, kinda like plastic lol. It doesn't feel like thick fiberglass that it will split/crack if you bend it. it flexes but retains it shape i suppose.

What's the point of the carbon roof if it just goes over top the existing metal? Also wouldn't that be a potential rust issue as you'll be trapping moisture between the carbon sheet and the roof metal panel?
And yeah, something about Nissan and Mazda can't get their metals right.
I can't remember exactly but I think the garage active cars roof are cut out in the center (retaining the 'frame'), but I'm not sure I wanted to do anything like that as I'm not going to run a rollcage. Weight savings is actually the last thing on my mind, I was actually going to put padding/sound deadening inside the doors cause I hate that non-solid closing of the doors like a ratty car.
