His Teammate also had a 10s penalty to boot lmao

supafamous 06-30-2024 06:47 AM

Perez giving new meaning to being the #2 driver.

headhunt3r 06-30-2024 07:12 AM

Max giving his obnoxious competitor reputation a refresh.

The Producer 06-30-2024 07:41 AM

wish it had all gone down a few laps earlier. Oscar just needed a bit more race distance.

He did drive with a busted sidepod, maybe with a complete car he could have gotten up to 6th :lawl:

Hondaracer 07-02-2024 04:30 PM

Just watched the highlights now wow what a drive from Piastri great job.

Props to George too speaks volumes when you can consistently outperform your team mate, albeit they’ve been closer this season

TypeRNammer 07-06-2024 12:59 PM

Ugh what a disaster for Checo, giving a new meaning of slump.

Max made a mistake and damaged his floor during qualifying

supafamous 07-07-2024 07:49 AM

LEWIS!!!!

Great race with all the usual elements:

- Stunning climb from 18th to 17th by Perez.
- Ferrari throwing it away for LeClerc. PAIN.
- McLaren not reading the race and messing it up for both drivers
- Williams in the points!
- Hulk in 6th! (What?)
- Yuki beats Ric.
- Russell with the retirement after being forecasted for a podium.

McLaren at risk of getting the Ferrari strategy reputation lol

Props to Hamilton! Masterclass from Hamilton on driving on a wet track. Mercedes timed their pitstops well today at Silverstone.

You could tell on the audio from Mercedes’ radio that winning Silverstone for the 9th time for Hamilton means so much to him.

He sounded quite emotional after the Mercedes team congratulated him.

McLaren should have double stacked when they had the chance. Oscar would have lost a bit of time, but by leaving him out, he lost a ton of time on the in lap.

Also Lando going on the soft was a mistake

Great68 07-08-2024 07:58 AM

That was awesome, I was cheering for Hamilton.

I'm in an F1 pool where we predict the top 10 finishing order and I completely forgot to add Perez to the list. My teammate in the pool was even like "Hey no Perez?" I was like aww shit, but at that point the picks were locked.

I ended up winning the pool for this race haha.

Hondaracer 07-08-2024 08:09 AM

Interesting they couldn’t setup the RB for Silverstone

When’s the last time a merc was actually pulling on the RB? Probably the last time LH won

HonestTea 07-08-2024 09:43 AM

SIR LEWIS FUCKING HAMILTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

blkgsr 07-08-2024 10:44 AM

actually happy for lewis on this, you could feel the relief of finally winning again and the extra joy of winning at home

mclaren lost that one...should have had both on the podium

checo...you're done buddy.

great race otherwise, finally a fully entertaining race.

mikemhg 07-08-2024 12:37 PM

Hamilton has literal plot armor at Silverstone, I dunno how he does it.

The man owns that track.

His record is crazy at Silverstone - 12 consecutive podiums and 15 in total. Only twice has ever finished worse than 4th (a 16th and an 8th).

TypeRNammer 07-20-2024 03:19 PM

Perez needs to GTFO

Can't believe he binned the car in Q1.

sonick 07-20-2024 03:59 PM

It's almost sad watching the guy progressively lose his job by the race. It's like just let him go and end the misery.

It's even more sad when you see his facial expressions during the interviews. I suspect RB will give Checo this weekend to prove himself. If he doesn't succeed (and it's looking pretty bleak), they would replace him with another driver and use the Belgian GP as a test run for the rest of the 24 F1 season.

Hondaracer 07-20-2024 06:56 PM

You replace Checo with Sainz and it’s an auto upgrade

Let alone if you want to give the second seat to a new driver

Fairly entertaining qualifying today though, it was good

I have a feeling the race is going to be pretty good.

2022 Max started in 10th, spun, and won
2023 Max started in 2nd and won

Tomorrow's race could be anyone's race for the front runners

Hondaracer 07-20-2024 07:10 PM

The Hungarian Grand Prix is one in targeting in the next 3 years or so, would love to go with my parents

I think it’s still relatively affordable and would be a great time
