Very impressive again my McLaren Their car is looking incredibly planted on those high speed corners |
Drivers championship ON! |
Russell's race craft really isn't that great. And damn RB, Perez couldn't even get ahead of Russell even with the torrid start that Russell had. Leclerc had an amazing race stretching his hards 38 laps. |
Ferrari with their upgrades scrap back into the fight? Fairly interesting race given the strategies etc. albeit uneventful otherwise |
McLaren strategy a gong show again. Papaya rules wtf is that. |
Man wtf happened to RB they went from 30 seconds ahead of the pack to 30 seconds behind in a couple of months. |

Ferrari (maybe I would be giving them too much credit) didn't set up their car to be the fastest but rather to be more gentle on their tires. McLaren setup for faster one lap pace, and I'd say same for everyone, and their had to do a two stop and Ferrari both made it out with one stop. Obviously though, Leclerc made a huge difference to be able to last 38 laps on his hards and while still going at a decent pace. |
not switching the mclarens at the end makes no sense. and I'm a Piastri fan |
The Piastri pass on lap 1 was epic though. Piastri looking like he could be WDC before Lando. Such a cool demeanor, but races hard and isn't afraid to be aggressive. Lando is too emotional and hard on himself when things go wrong. |

but anybody beating max would be so satisfying. Oscar's just too far away to catch up. TBH i think Lando is too far out of it also. |

If you look at their rear wing setup, it was really ghetto. It looked like a medium downforce wing with two half circles cut out of them |
Yea their wing looked bizarre I thought it was broken near the end of the race when you got more clear shots of it, especially when you could see both the Ferraris wing and Max’s in the same shot looked totally weird |
Pretty wild to see Ferrari going from clown act strategy to doing a masterclass one stop strategy, one hell of a gamble that paid off. |
Unconfirmed rumours of Newey to Aston Martin to be announced at Azerbaijan GP |

Buxton meltdown! saying the quiet parts out loud re Mclaren https://www.instagram.com/p/C_Z4jryIN_u/ |
Everyone is flummoxed over the situation with McLaren, between their strategy miscues and refusing to team order, what could be a WDC for Norris is probably gonna end up having him LOSE it over something dumb like 5 points, which is what he's given up from this race, and the Hungarian GP |
I feel like a more experienced team such as Red Bull or Mercedes would have told their drivers in no uncertain terms that they are to hold their 1,2 positions until reasonably ahead of the field and then they'd be free to race. |
on the contrary - neither of those teams would allow their drivers to race at all if it compromised a drivers or constructors championship. no chance. that's what's so surprising here. |

Stroll isn't actually that bad. He's solidly midfield and he was decent when he was driving the pink Mercedes. |

Performance is ok but his recklessness on track with other drivers (e.g. cutting across and crashing into Fernando, totally rear-ending Ricciardo, etc.) and the attitude afterwards just makes him so unlikeable. |
Adrian confirmed to Aston Martin as a share holder and managing technical partner |

Clearly better: Ham, Max, LeClerc, Sainz, Russell, Piastri, Norris, Albon, Alonso Better: Gasly, Ocon, Hulk, Yuki, Danny, Botta (?) Bout the Same: Perez Worse: Zhou, Magnussen Don't know: Colapinto If you're a team principal which of these drivers would you NOT hire ahead of Stroll? |
