Yea people on IG calling him the new Kimi lol |
Can I just say how incredible it is that teenagers like Ollie Bearman (19) can step into a Formula 1 car and drive it like it's a totally normal thing for a teenager to do? Next year it's Antonelli too at just 18. And then they get out of the car and talk to the media like they've been doing it for a decade (except for Stroll who is a butthead). At 18 you didn't want me in anything with more than 150hp. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/e...rix-/10587873/ Edit: Bearman was 2 years old when Lewis Hamilton started his F1 career and now he's racing him. Antonelli was literally a baby (7 months old) when Lewis started in F1. |
I agree One of the most impressive parts I find too is doing Pit stops when you’re not used to it (does any lower level do stops?) lol must be hella nerve racking |
That double slide coming out of turn 16 did it for me... man this was a good race. https://dubz.link/c/85fd90 I am a huge Ferrari Leclerc fan, but Piastri deserved it, what a drive! This to me will forever be his "true" 1st victory in F1... |
Sounds like Danny Ric is out next year, Lawson in VCARB 2025 |
oh finally he's getting the seat. where did you see that? |
F1 twitter/Reddit. Marko saying the second VCARB seat would be announced at/before Singapore and it's trickling out that Ric is on the outs. |
uh may happen for/after Singapore also sounds like Lawson has to race 5 times "this year" or he can back out of his contract. not sure if that means 2024 calendar year or this season |

I'm glad the wing change didn't make much of a difference for Mclaren at least in qualifying. |
Whole cool down lap and post race interview with Danny Ric was so sad |
There's no arguing that he's past his prime and that they need to bring Lawson in if VCARB wanna challenge the midfield pack but he's one of my favorite drivers and I will miss him dearly from the grid. Just great all around likable guy. |

Hell, monetize it. Print last edition DR3 swag. Special edition t-shirts. Do a mini-documentary, interviews, ANYTHING but how this whole travesty is being played out. |
Hopefully he'll get swooped up as a factory driver for WEC. |

would be pretty funny if RB and McLaren were paying DR not to drive. |
Official: |
Fuck RBR, can't believe they didn't have a proper send off with DR. |

Yes they are assholes, but on the flip side, it's a business, and they are in the business of winning. They'll do what they'll need to do to ensure pieces are in place. I like DR, but he's only treading water with Yuki imo and hasn't had any standout performances. His on track performance has been very tentative, lacking the edge that made him a star before. I'm surprised that they ended up keeping Perez so I guess the whole financial value thing stands as DR doesn't have that niche draw or backing money. Now that RB main team has found their issues to lineup with what Perez had been complaining about, or so they say, Perez is probably here to stay through 2025. |
I wonder what Ford is thinking right now, watching all of Red Bull's top talent running like rats from a sinking ship just before their supposed to start their partnership together... |
Ford is only responsible for the electric portion of it? Redbull is doing the ICE portion? Or was it the other way around? |
pretty good weekend - action, bit of drama. Great for the Tifosi Colapinto was great. Lawson was great. Yuki imploding is entertaining. Off to Mexico for fervent support of Checo's mediocrity |
Maybe I'm just a noob, but I can't tell what's forcing off the track and what's overtaking off track anymore. George did the same thing as Max and got a penalty but Max doesn't. |
