Charles was indeed in charge leading all 78 laps to bring home the victory. Others may reside in Monaco or get "adopted" by the Leclerc family, but the Ferrari driver is the only one on the grid who was actually born and raised in the principality.

"It means a lot, obviously. It’s the race that made me dream of becoming a Formula One driver one day," Leclerc said according to formula1.com. "It was a difficult race emotionally because already 15 laps to the end you’re just hoping that nothing happens, already the emotions were coming.

Gasly and Ocon hate each other even more now after their crash haha.

He boldly lunged down the inside of his fellow Frenchman but the pair got too close, Ocon’s rear wheel slamming into Gasly’s front and sending the former airborne.

Ocon works so hard to be hated by everybody. It's too bad - sometimes he has hands.

Most boring race of the year, but I watched it all. The F1TV crew did a good job of keeping me entertained. DC and Palmer are pretty funny when they have time to riff.

Never liked Ocon and is doing nothing to change my mind. What a dick.

I've never like Ocon, he acts like a complete douchebag and there's zero team in his vocab. It's a terrible thing but I hope he has no deal and is out of F1 next year.

The first start of Monaco, it was wild to see Checo's car obliterated from the race incident, only thing that was left of it was the cockpit.

After the restart, fast forwarded through the race until Hamiton and Verstappen made their pit stops. Shame nothing more could come out of that.

What a win for Sharl! I hope the RBR struggles and we actually have a fight on our hands with Ferrari and McLaren.

PS: Monaco is BORING AF

Max will still be untouchable. It'll be interesting to see if the Ferrari pairing can beat RBR in the team standings though. Only 24 points behind.

I tried watching the full race, but I ended up scrolling through most of it on F1TV, at that point I should have just watch the 30 minute highlights.

Thanks I was just regretting getting spoiled on a Max loss and Ferrari win and was kind of putting off watching the race since Monaco can be quite boring

I'm going to try to watch a vintage race in the off weekends for the rest of the season. May as well use the subscription - there's so much archived content.

I always likes Ocons story it was always that feel good underdog story given his background, and everyone says he's like the nicest guy off the track

But he has a huge chip on his shoulder and he's never been good with any of his teammates, it's just a career of little things that added up, it's no surprise people suddenly are calling for his head after Monaco and celebrating the fact he's out
