2024 Formula 1 Thread

To kick off the 2024 season, breaking news, Gunther Steiner leaves the Haas F1 team, guess he got sick of making phone calls to Gene

Great68 01-10-2024 09:15 AM

I'm surprised it took this long to can him, really.

SkinnyPupp 01-10-2024 05:04 PM

They fire him like a month and a half before the season starts? Yikes man

Teriyaki 01-10-2024 05:27 PM

Team is a mess. Didn't even have a real replacement ready. They gunning for 11th place.

MarkyMark 01-10-2024 05:44 PM

What's the consensus for this season, are any teams projected to catch up to redbull or is it already a fight for second place?

FN-2199 01-10-2024 08:14 PM

hope he fokk smashed some shit on his way out

If you completely ignore Red Bull, I think it's going to be a four way battle with Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston Martin

Then Alpine in no man's in the middle

And the bottom feeder battle with Sauber, Alpha Tauri, and Williams

And I'm sure Haas will still be last.

As much as I'm a redbull fan, I'm cheering on McLaren to beat out Ferrari and Mercedes.

I want to say defintely a race for 2nd, I dont see an actual shake up until the reg updates, but even then "Horner + Newey + Verstappen" is like the dream team.

Still a Ferrari fan boy at heart though, so.... there is to hoping lol...

Pretty much this.

For 2nd-4th, McLaren has a good chance. Driver conflicts will likely derail a few races for Mercedes and Ferrari.

I'm not as optimistic on Aston's team results though. 5th - 7th is pretty much locked in: Aston/Alpine/Williams.

For anyone looking for a deeply discount red bull polo t shirt, this would be it.

Sizes run very small.

As a reference if you wear a large PUMA t shirt, go one or two sizes up.

Not exactly F1 related, but yesterday's Rolex 24 @ Daytona was interesting as it featured some ex-F1 drivers like Jensen Button, Nasr, and a few others. Great race and big hats off to Porsche, Acura, and Cadillac for a well fought battle. :)

Thanks for this, ended up getting a McLaren Polo for cheap.

By the way, I follow this girl on IG, she's beautiful but her hands are manly as fuck.

Once you see it, you'll never forget.

HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK Breaking news Hamilton to Ferrari 2025

SkinnyPupp 02-01-2024 06:22 AM

Wow

Hondaracer 02-01-2024 06:25 AM

Any big team he would go to he’d be #2 at this point so wonder if he’s just going to retire

Sounds like it's confirmed to Ferrari

Hondaracer 02-01-2024 06:53 AM

Interesting.. wonder how Charles feels lol

HonestTea 02-01-2024 07:41 AM

FORZA FERRARI!

Vancouver240sx 02-01-2024 08:00 AM

Crazy. It will be interesting to see how this effects the rest of the top seats.

Albon to mercedes and Sainz to RB makes sense to me but this really shakes things up.

supafamous 02-01-2024 09:14 AM

Shocked at this though not surprised in that pretty every driver dreams of driving for Ferrari. I figured he'd always be a Mercedes guy considering his relationship with Toto.

HonestTea 02-01-2024 09:16 AM

Jenson Button wants Alonso in the Merc LOL that'd be wild

Sainz always gets the short end of the stick despite being a rock solid driver. Hopefully he's laid the groundwork with Audi already.

I wonder how many things Toto has broken today
