Fuck, 24 of those is a commitment.

I thought the on going joke was that they're so over processed that they basically do last forever? :lol

I think there was a joke about it in zombieland where they ate some and despite the expiry date it tasted the same as usual...?

Mikoyan 01-27-2024 02:31 PM

It's probably a 'Best Before' date rather than an 'Expiry.'

You can eat BB marked food after, just it might not taste as good as it could be, while Expired food is Do Not Eat after the date.

I did also get a chance to try it in 2022 in the US and noticed there is a big difference in quality and texture between the US and Canadian patty, where I find the Canadian one is better quality overall.

When I tried the McRib at the Brampton location, an Air Canada employee on his break tried to order one and the restaurant had just run out of onions. He threw a hissy fit and got angry, went on a 10 minute rant about how he tried so hard to find it, and settled for a Big mac lol

The McRib is a full time item in Germany. My cousin laughed at me when I made him take me to McD's the second day we were in Berlin. They provide a wet nap with the meal too.

Nissin noodle is currently $0.25/ea at Superstore. I bought a case (of 30) and it came to $7.50. Dad said he hasn't seen these prices since the 00s LOL.

The tag says $0.48/ea up to limit 6. After limit is $0.25/ea LMAO

The online pickers were taking handfuls off the shelf. The self checkout person wasn't too excited when I asked how to punch in x 30 for 1 sku.

Doesn’t work at all locations, but I use the hand held scanners and keep pressing the button (30 times in that case). Just need one item. You can’t use regular scale top scanner and then move to using the hand held. I do this when I have multiple heavy items. No need to take shit out of cart leave them on bagging area then having to load the shit back into the cart.

It works for me. Maybe because I have Optimum points card tied to the PC World Elite Mastercard.

I’ve done entire carts this way. Again, might not always work. Most of my shopping is done at the Grandview Hwy and Coquitlam (IKEA) locations. I do remember it working at the Metrotown store. Richmond? Yeah, right. Gulolol.

Man I hate how different Superstores have different rules with self check out. At the marine drive location they'd literally run towards you and stop you If they see you use the handheld. They also lose their shit if you don't keep all your items in the scanned section. At metrotown however none of your items need to leave the cart i suppose they recognize maybe not all the stuff can even fit in the scanned items section anyway and it's a waste of time having all your items leave the cart and then you have to pack them all up again. They're much higher traffic so it's maybe a good idea to keep it moving.

Speaking of Captain Happy Bubble, I ran into Orgasm Donor. Haven’t seen him in close to ten years. Dude is still the same. He had a baseball cap on, so didn’t see the hairline or lack of, but still looks young. We talked about old RS members. He kept mentioning real names. I had to remind him to use usernames, lol. I asked about other members. How they’re doing and stuff. Saucywoman. Did not know she moved on to bigger and better things.

SSM_DC5 01-28-2024 11:49 AM

I never noticed a hand held scanner. :okay: will need to keep an eye out for it next time. My original plan was scan the same pack 30 times, but the system stopped after the first one. My plan B of asking the worker for help was much better than unpacking all 30, only to rebox it all.

Gotta throw in the Can Dice Fish in BB sauce. Always great confort food, and the fiance wont touch it, and thats okay with me.

big bowl of rice + that :drunk::drunk:

bcrdukes 01-28-2024 01:15 PM

Do you guys mean canned dace fish, and not dice fish? :suspicious:

MG1 01-28-2024 02:29 PM

Dice Fish is also known as Fugu, or blowfish. You basically roll the dice when you eat it. As for Dace, well, it’s pretty common. No rolling of dice needed.

Probably the reason why Dragon-88’s fiancé wouldn’t touch it.

Mikoyan 01-28-2024 10:07 PM

RFD thread says Superstore fixed the price error. It was supposed to be 25c for the first 6, 48c over limit lol. Oops.

donk. 01-29-2024 12:13 AM

Someone at the store probably did it on purpose just before they quit, and loaded up on cheap food for the rest of the year

I had a friend that kept a roll of "50% OFF" stickers, before he quit, that man had lobster and steak for months.
Also all of our bikes and helmets had "50% OFF" orange stickers lol, was an ongoing joke at the bmx park

If you have an air fryer try them for 5mins at 350... You're welcome

He was good shit, is he still into car audio?

bcrdukes 01-29-2024 09:39 AM

Yes. I spoke to him briefly last year and he is at Sounds Good Audio in Coquitlam.

TypeRNammer 01-29-2024 10:50 AM

While we are on the topic of instant noodles, I'll share a deal which I believe is a price error, not sure if they fixed it yet.

The No Frills on Fraser Street in East Van has these for about 5 bucks.

Normally they're about 10 dollars since this is the premium version compared to the Shin Red.

bcrdukes 01-29-2024 10:56 AM

Wow, $5 for Shin Black is definitely rare. Must be some kind of mistake.
