Ineos Fusilier

EV version of the Ineos Grenadier coming in 2027. Looks like there'll be an optional range-extender as well.

Reportedly going to be built by Magna.

INEOS owner Jim Ratcliffe once tried to buy the rights to keep building the original Land Rover Defender. JLR didn't approve the deal, so INEOS went ahead with an alternate-reality version called the Grenadier.
This week, a court dismissed JLR's appeal of the U.K. Intellectual Property Office's decision that not everyone knows or cares what the original Defender looked like.
Turns out, Land Rover never trademarked the Defender's shape, which gives INEOS the legal window it needs to bring the new 4x4 to life.

I was about to say that looks like the love child of a G Wagon and Defender lol.

Went to Duncan to test drive a Ineos Grenadier gas version. It's pretty nice. The Vancouver dealer has already sold 80. One guy traded in his Ferrari for one.

If you have Ferrari, why the trade?

The 2 cars serve completely different purposes, you can definitely have both~

Meh, guess I will never know I am like 5 tax brackets below~

Car manufacturers suing each other is the dumbest shit ever

Every coupe looks the same
Every truck looks the same
Every "jeep" looks the same
Every sports car looks the same

to non car people

Badhobz 10-19-2024 04:36 PM

Chinese people won’t buy it. Too afraid to tell people they drive an anus fuzzybeer

yray 10-19-2024 04:56 PM

underneath is basically a copy of my disco which was released 35 years ago today

the disco is basically the chassis of the first range rover which was designed in the 1960s

i guess if you compare to local defender prices 99k is not bad

JDMDreams 10-19-2024 05:12 PM

If I was China man I would buy yangwang

If the diesel was coming I’d be on the list.

punkwax 10-20-2024 04:25 AM

Ineos Fusilier sounds like something Harry Potter would say.

I agree with you.. though the B58 isn't too shabby.

JDMDreams 10-21-2024 07:17 AM

^ from the reviews I've seen it's not great on gas since it's so heavy nor fast and do you really trust BMW if you're in the middle of the desert?

68style 10-21-2024 07:29 AM

Yah much better to trust LAND ROVER hahaha

EvoFire 10-21-2024 08:45 AM

^ Yes actually. All the current 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders are great.

I'd argue would you trust Land Rover in the middle of the desert. And apparently plenty of ppl still do

68style 10-21-2024 08:54 AM

They're electrical is shit super high incidence of bricked cars.

At any rate I was being a bit facetious, thought it was ridiculous to say that the B58 is unreliable at this point -- far from it.

I'd never take a Land Rover further off road than I was willing to walk back.

yray 10-21-2024 03:05 PM

land rovers are easy FeelsBadMan
