I'm actually excited to see what management can cook up this off season. The team will definitely look very different next year. So we have to see who the team will be built around and who they find to fill in the gaps. Last year was fantastic but I'm sure we're all hoping next year is even better. Our window of contention is right effing now and luckily I have great confidence in management (for once). LFG!

Your thoughts about the team punishing season ticketholders for re-selling their tickets through methods not related to Ticketmaster? https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2024/0...resell-profit/
One fan, who doesn’t want his name published, tells CityNews he shares eight seats in the upper bowl with friends. He’s been a season ticket holder for more than 25 years and his account was recently flagged.
“I received a letter saying … my account will not be renewed next year,” he explained. “The letter said you either 100 per cent transferred all your tickets or you sold them to a broker.”
He claims that’s not the case. He maintains he’s used the tickets for up to 10 to 20 games a season, or has shared them with friends, family, co-workers, and members of his local recreation hockey team.
The Canucks season ticket holder website states fans can resell their tickets through “the official Ticketmaster website.” He says he has done that a handful of times but was still flagged.

These season ticket holders were there when the canucks sucked and now when they are showing some prominance again, he tries to squeeze every penny out of them.
Ticketmaster can also go fuck off with their monopoly and insane fees.

It's a greedy move with the Canucks trying to make more money. I really enjoyed buying cheap last minute tickets rather then paying full price. I know its a business and all but I guess its how the rich get richer.

This is the same shit we deal with. I get it was funny at the time but dude thinks about himself first. He looks to take from others before offering anything from himself.

word has it Arturs Silovs is a free agent & might get scooped up for another team. | I doubt it, goalie market is pretty weak right now as per sports radio and sportsnet. IIRC there were only 2 teams left that might be in the market.

Not sure why the other thread was locked so fast, still residual comments from the SCF ...
someone asked if Luongo feels it is the same getting Cup as Special Advisor or as a player ... here it is in his own words https://youtu.be/gnhGoHMtiCI?si=IrFKDkyUf7L9lRpn&t=605 |

Ahahaha I knew it, his ego is so huge these days.
How would he know it feels the same anyway he never won one as a player.

Ask him did it feel better winning the gold medal as the starter or backup to Price? |

I don't have a clue how Mogilny can be snubbed so bad, he was one of the first to defect from Russia, that alone should be enough to let him in.

Nevermind all the difficulties he faced defecting and adjusting to a totally new way of life, his career stats are almost identical to Alfredsson and Kariya... both of them are already in. Just crazy that he hasn't even been on a ballot yet.

Too bad it isn't transparent because I'd love to be a fly on the wall. Aside from the things already mentioned he has a higher points per game than a lot of the others who have gone in and you can't even make the cup argument because he has won 1 where as some with less numbers haven't. Truly mind boggling but I'm still holding out hope he will get in one day.

They must be actively holding him out
I can’t remember the specifics but there is definitely some bad blood when it comes to both the NHL and NHLPA and mogilny. I’ve heard a few different conversations on the radio relating to this and I feel like one of them might have said they don’t expect him ever to be inducted

That's great news. Latvian buddies with Silovs and he even took a pay cut, wow.

| The Official 2024/2025 Canucks & NHL Thread
-news from Elliotte Friedman about a potential trade of Mikheyev to Chicago:
Hearing Chicago and Vancouver working on a deal that will create cap room for the Canucks — potentially involving Ilya Mikheyev and rights to Sam Lafferty, with a second-round pick as a sweetener.
Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli further reported that the Blackhawks would send the Canucks a fourth-round pick in 2027, provided the trade takes place.
