A shutout loss to New Jersey was a horror show for us fans.

I will forever be a bit turned off by the reaction to Bertuzzi breaking Steve Moore's neck. And the riots after losing game 7, even though I wasn't in the city by that time. I think those two memories will taint the fandom forever for me. It took me until the covid playoffs, and a lot of boredom at the time, to even come back to the team regularly.

That said, I've said it before and will say it again, there is NOTHING more fucking annoying than watching sports (most that never have even played the sport) turning their hometown team into their entire personality, and you get that in any hockey city in Canada.
