ah ... good eye. Don't have to pump his stomach then.

pastarocket 06-26-2024 07:57 PM

Allvin is making salary cap room to sign Zadorov and a forward.

Come to Vancouver, Guentzel!

Yeah, we know Lou's digestive system is a little touchy lol.

bobbinka 06-26-2024 11:12 PM

Lafferty was going to be a UFA in a few days anyway, so to have him included, while getting a 4th rounder back for a 2nd rounder, and only retaining 700k for 2 yrs.... i'd say that's pretty good. Mik's cap was holding everything up

15% retained is $712,500. That's less than league minimum for a player. Pretty palatable if you ask me. Also, the 2nd rounder is in 2027 so that defers our problem until later. Obviously we super short on 2nd rounders in our organization but we're in that win-now mode. We need guys who can immediately make the team better for next year.

It'd be interesting to see pics of the before the cup was presented and after they get the cup back and how fucked up it got.

You're retaining basically league minimum for 2 years.

It's not bad at all.

Watch Mikheyev turn into an absolute unit next year in Chicago hahahaha that would be such a Canucks thing to happen

I mean, it seems totally impossible based on his eye test in my books, but fuck if I'm not afraid of that somehow

spoon.ek9 06-27-2024 09:28 AM

It's ok really, I wish him the best. If he has a bounce back season, good for him. It really wasn't working for him here anymore. Lost his speed and hands of stone. He needed a change so he was willing to waive. I'd much rather we look for a solid top 6 forward to actually help Petey lol.

mb_ 06-27-2024 09:39 AM

Dak extended

Hondaracer 06-27-2024 09:40 AM

Not bad not bad

pastarocket 06-27-2024 09:47 AM

Come on Allvin! Get a deal done for Zadorov. The team needs Big Z back!

68style 06-27-2024 09:52 AM

That's a great price for Joshua, big group of us were talking after hockey last night and saying 3.5 would be reasonable for Dak... I was afraid he might get as high as 4.5 from another team that got too excited about last year.

I hope he can be more consistent, I didn't notice him much outside of the games he got multiple points in for the playoffs.

Hondaracer 06-27-2024 10:00 AM

Pretty sure he could have got 4+ from another team

Fuck like even these last 2 days show how important good management is.. kinda going back to the direction of the Gillis era where management was smart enough to approach players in the vein of, if you want to stay here, this is the type of deal you need to take

spoon.ek9 06-27-2024 10:22 AM

Garland $4.95M
Blueger $1.8
Joshua $3.25

exactly $10M for our productive third line

that's a great deal IMO. Don't forget the PK roles Dak and Blueger play as well.

bobbinka 06-27-2024 10:27 AM

Dak is back!

Big z next! Then Guentz or Toff July 1

EvoFire 06-27-2024 10:27 AM

I have to say though, feels bad for Blueger to be centering two wingers that gets paid way more, I thought centers are supposed to be paid a premium.

He's making 1.8 million dollars a year to play the game he loves. There is nothing to feel bad about lol

Hondaracer 06-27-2024 10:42 AM

He also doesn’t have the production his wingers do

Garland is obviously making too much but the guys work ethic almost makes up for it
