He's still a baby, too early to call either way. Especially on a shitty team |
He probably won't blossom until he's traded to another team or goes UFA |
Canucks called up D-Petey for tonight |
for those who didn't see, D-Petey made a pretty massive hip check the other day lol. BOOM! |
I don't see D petey in the projected lineup. Slim chance he will play? Brannstrom is playing well along side with Juulsen. |
he was called up today with Forbort going onto IR I believe? wasn't likely he'd make the lineup for tonight but it remained a possibility. |
The Official 2024/2025 Canucks & NHL Thread Petey is on a heater with another goal in consecutive games. Ovie is on fire. A hat trick tonight. His 31st career hat trick. Ovechkin is 29 goals away from breaking Gretzky’s scoring record. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

missed the game. was Miller that bad to be benched the entire 3rd?? |
nah. maybe he has a injury or something. No way coach would bench him. He is our best forward right now. |

Tocchet bluntly explained his benching of Miller in the third period. 100 percent not related to injury. Here’s what Canucks’ head coach Rick Tocchet had to say regarding the benching: “I just went with the guys that I thought could get us back in the game.” Tocchet gave a blunt “No” when asked if his benching had to do with any sort of injury |
^ why wasn't Petey benched for a period or two in the first 10 games of the season? Be careful, Tochet in trying to make an example, that's the beginning of tense coach-player relations. |

Cuz Miller was barely moving his feet and watching the puck the entire penalty kill when they got scored on… he even at one point started to give directions to Petey who was actually all over the ice hounding the Nashville PP |
100 percent. I agree that Tocchet's old school way of getting players to improve their play should be done consistently for all players if they are not playing well. If Petey messes up in a game, turns the puck over to the opposition that leads to a goal, and does nothing in multiple shifts, then Tocchet has to bench Petey to send him a message. The same goes for Miller. Maybe a gen Z guy like Petey doesn't respond well to getting benched? He needs a hug for encouragement? LUL |
on a side note, Lekkerimaki has played 4 games, with 1 point and a -3. Looks like his abby stats and what 68 style pointed out earlier. |
Yah Lekk needs to marinate and do what Bains did last summer... get stronger Bains isn't that great but I definitely notice he isn't getting pushed off the puck this year like he was last year... if Lekk can do the same thing with his body and having way more highend skill/vision than Bains he will be a force next year. |

anyone need a weight belt? |
but how much, is the question :lol |
Uh oh, Ovechkin has a lower body injury. Knee on knee collision with an Utah player. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Gretzky takes a breath and sigh of relief for the time being. |
Hmmm. Vancouver Canucks @Canucks · Canucks Forward J.T. Miller to take indefinite leave for personal reasons. |
oh man... probably something's taken an emotional toll on the guy |
