12pm game tomorrow |
I think it was Dhali who reported today that Hronek has a separated shoulder. Typical timeline to return is 6-8 weeks. So... he's out for months. This might force our hand in making a trade to stay afloat until he returns to the lineup. |
Just gonna grind Hughes into dust probably Hronek was really starting to come on lately too... terrible |
Jake is on a real heater, scores again. Too bad I'm stuck at work and can't fully watch the game :alone: |
Corolla Garland! |
Suter on a breakaway! POGGERS |
GARLAND IN OT! |
Good to see Garland's picture in those promotional ads online from the team. He deserves it |
My heartrate shot up in the sequence before the GWG after Lankinen made that game saving stop, legit thought Thompson was gonna score |
Lankinen has been playing quite well so far this season. -good to see players like DeBrusk and Garland step up their game. On to Detroit! |
^ he's ok ... just 10-3 to start his career with Canucks. |

Was an early game today, Hatty for Debrusk. He's starting to heat up. Good W |
Debrusk with a hat trick. Hughes leads franchise in assists by a dman |
Hats off to Allvin for signing DeBrusk in this past offseason. Jake is on a heater! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
More like hats off for signing Lankinen!!! |
steal of a deal signing Lankinen at $875k AND super late into the off season. dude is found gold at this point. |
Just means we won't be able to keep him next year. Feels like we are elevating all these goalies in the league |
I know it's still early.... but i'd be okay if they traded Silovs. |
Silovs is much younger and has more room to grow. While Lank is doing well, it's his contract year so of course he will put in the effort. |
yeah I think it's too early to give up on Silovs unless it's some ridiculous return we can't say no to. he's basically the only farm goalie we've got that can potentially take over for Demko. I don't think we want a repeat of the carousel of goalies we had after Lu and Schneider were traded.... |
Way I see it is that Demko will be 30 when his contract ends next season. If he's still the elite goaltender we know him to be, then he'll sign his last big contract for 5 years. It would be a waste to hold on to Silovs (assuming he would even want to stay after his RFA years) as a backup. Might as well get something to help us improve now. If Demko's injury ends up being the start of his decline and the team won't give him his final big contract, he may leave. In that case, you need a starter. If it's another elite goaltender you want, then you'll need to trade for one. If you settle for a tandem, then Lanks/Silovs is working right now, but Lanks has been outplaying Silovs, so might as well get something to help us improve now. The only way I see Silovs getting the starting job is if both Demko and Lankinen leave. |
Being Demko's backup is basically a gateway to starting goalie work, dude is the new Sami Salo |
-hearing rumours that Allvin is considering Zadorov. Should the Canucks bring back big Z if the Bruins retain some salary? -wonder how long Hronek will be absent because of injury. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
