Can't even make this story up...
Pettersson going from red hot 15 pts in 10 games in Miller's absence and then goes cold turkey with 0 pts the next four games after he returns.

^ any team has an underperforming Dman that has upside potential? Or a consistent 2nd line Dman out there? Is Nashville a good dance partner, the whole team is underperforming.

Former Canucks coach Bruce Boudreau joined TSN’s OverDrive and shared some interesting details regarding this rift and how it stemmed back to his days as a coach.
“Well, I mean, the easy thing would be to say yes,” Boudreau said when asked if this rumoured feud is a problem that the team needs to address. “It is a problem. And I knew they had a little bit of a problem between them before I got there. But I thought that was all straightened out and everything. So, I’m hoping it was a coincidence.

It's pretty embarrassing that these guys desire to win is outweighed by their poopy pants tantrums. Imagine getting like 8 million a year and being like "no I don't wanna play with him he's meanie"

Miller doing Miller things again. He gets the puck and tells Lank to hit the bench before Tocchet gives the signal. Then last game against Utah, in OT Miller stays on when he should have changed and ran out of gas to backcheck.
I didn't watch the game. Did Miller have another incident tonight?
Yes he was behind the net close to the time they would pull their goalie. Instead of letting the coach make the call, he did it and made a "WTF?" gesture about it.
Similar to the Jets game where he hit the net with his stick, but not as bad. Probably because it's (Edit: Lanki) and not Colin Delia.

Hence why I don't like players getting no trade, no move clauses. The player gets way too much control and the only people it screws over is the team and the fans. I mean you got your 8 million already for "X" amount of years AND you want a no trade no move clause? screw off!
I’m still not buying this feud is that deep. They could not possibly be this stupid to sign both of them to huge overlapping contracts with this hanging around

I hate NTC's and NMC's... but man I don't know what the percentages are, feels like at least half of contracts now have some form of one. Maybe close to 90% or more if it's a significant player. They're such bullshit. Nobody gets that in life... and it doesn't matter how "proud" someone is, it's just human nature when everything is guaranteed that you slack at times. Imagine if any of our workplaces told us we have a guarantee salary for the next 10 years based on 1 or 2 good years we have an we can't be fired or re-assigned to another department? Instead we get "Oh you had a good year last year? New bar for expectations and performance here's your new target, hit them or you're fired"
It's also just salary cap bullshit, they know when they sign a dude through age 38 he won't be playing anywhere near where he's at now but it's just a way of giving more annual salary but pro-rated and trying to win right away while mortgaging the future of the team. Salary cap does not work, it just makes it frustrating as fuck for fans as you know when you sign a bunch of top guys that in 3 years it's going to be 5 years of absolute shitter hockey with a bunch of old cap money and aging overpaid dudes hanging around preventing new talent from rising up to shine.
