It's not a matter of IF Miller or Petey get traded. It is when either player will be traded this year.

If other GMs in the league know that the Canucks are going to trade either player in order to resolve the rift between Miller and Petey, Allvin would have less leverage in trade talks. GMs know that the Canucks have to trade either player.

Other GMs are gonna start off with lowball offers to the Canucks in order to trade for Petey or Miller. :facepalm:
