Very true. If you have the talent and skill to make it to the big leagues during draft year, your highest education level is high school. If you can't then you play college (maybe learn a thing or two) and hope you get scouted for the big leagues.

Allvin made a huge mistake in offering the fifth biggest contract in the NHL to Petey.

I heard reports that EP40 showed up to training camp in less than stellar shape.

You can't know for sure but there were other factors - his small physical size, not a physical or feisty player (related to size but not necessarily, look at Garland), style of play, Canucks prob know Petey's work ethics. Surely a seasoned GM can't base everything on pts alone.
