I’m 6’2!!! But I would look weird if I was 200lb or
I'm 6'2 and 200lbs right now!
Going to fuck around and hit 185-190. Realistically I'm aiming for 195 morning weight by end of Dec, so we shall see what that looks like. The last time I was that low was when I was in 18-20 and mega pinner.
what the fuck thats too lean!!! i got a big frame, it wouldn't work on me.
Same volume of muscle is heavier the same volume of fat.
200lbs 6'2" lean looks very different than 200lbs of 6'2" skinny-fat lol.

Just finding this thread now. Chunky boys unite lol. I’ll make this quick.
Always had a bad back (muscular scoliosis, manageable). Knowledgeable on diet and gym life. ~2018 change in job positions I went from 180 to like 220. Was slowly working it back down, then 2020 hit with covid and newborn. Have been ~225-230 since. It fucking sucks.
Fast forward to now, bulged L5 and am very limited in what I can do. Thankfully walking and moving isn’t painful, but no lifting, sitting/driving/sleeping is super painful. Can’t really gym or even to moderate stretching yet as we’re taking it slow. So one of the only things I can do is lose weight.
The knowledge is there, I just actually have to be strict now. Veg smoothies+meat each meal, room in my calorie deficit for a snack if still hungry. High protein, 2-3lbs a week is the goal and pretty easily achievable if I stick to it. Which I guess I have to. For my son
Oh yeah. 5’11, mid 30’s male. ~20k steps a day (not including gym), resting heart rate ~57bpm iirc. Will start back stretching/treadmill when get the OK. Already down 5lbs in the 2 weeks. 223.1lbs
Full vitamix = 3 blender bottles full
- 75g spinach
- 1 apple
- 1 banana
- 160g mixed frozen berries
- 100g frozen pineapple
- 175g Kirkland plain Greek yogurt
- 2/3 cup egg whites
- 1tbsp Metamucil (sugar free)
- 1tbsp chia seeds
- 3 scoops vanilla protein
- 1L water (enough to fill the blender)
Total 135g carb, 21g fat, 126g protein. Subject to minor change due to size of apple, banana etc.
Divide into 3 smoothies. Try to eat between noon and 8pm. Pair with ~100g lean protein per meal. I’m going through my freezer and using old stuff so right now it’s ground pork or ground turkey cooked stove top with home made taco seasoning (for less salt). I’ll also usually make a cold brew in the morning with a little sugar free vanilla sweetener and 2tbsp milk or so.

If you don't care about muscles and just want to cut, I don't think high protein + focussing on what you eat matters as much. Just be in a caloric deficit to drop the weight.
I find tryna retain muscle and losing weight is hard. Getting enough lean protein (.8-1.2g per lean bodyweight) + caloric deficit. "
IF weight loss was my goal and I didn't care about muscle or fat, I'd eat way more tastier meals to sustain the goal. Your smoothie recipe would make me dread the diet, 3 scoops of protein oh god. Good on ya to keep it up though.

Sorry to hear about the bulging L5. Have you considered swimming or some sort of aquafit thing? Years ago when I injured my back, swimming was the only exercise I can do without causing any pain.

If you want to cut hard and fast, just do keto. I lost about 10lbs/mo for 3 months.
The hard part is obviously keeping it off which requires lifestyle changes and imo there is a keto lifestyle, but I don't think it's sustainable.
I didn't keep it off, but if I wanted to do a hard cut again (ignoring muscle mass), I would just do keto again. The nice part is your sugar intake/tolerance gets reset.

I don’t even know why the fuck I bother going to the gym. What’s the point. I’m not looking for a side piece. In fact this gym shit is making my life more challenging with this weirdo at the gym.
I should instead just aim to eat fried chicken skin all day long and endeavour to beat gewilos at obesity. I’ve seen my 500lb life on TV and it’s always black or white people. Never a Chinese fucker.
I should be the first one
Fuck being slim. I got no kids why do I give a shit. Plus I look good in a moo moo

Sorry but I disagree with everything you just said. The smoothie is delicious actually. Natural sugars, creamy from the Greek yogurt, high in fibre for great bowel movements and satiating.
Westopher knows I love to cook. But as a chunky boy with lifetime slow metabolism you need to be strict when it comes to diet, especially when you cannot just go to the gym and bust out cardio and legs to work off anything you had the night before. Calorie deficit yes but you need to be mindful of what you’re putting in your body. I’d rather have my smoothies, roasted meat and be full and satisfied then have a pittance of lasagna and end up snacking twice in the day.
I work a warehouse job and need to keep strength up, a lower carb higher protein diet for fat loss is just fine as long as you listen to your body and watch your moods (lethargic, bowel movements etc)
Once im healed and get the ok i want to get back in the gym on that 5x5 program etc and get my strength back to where it used to be. I need that anabolic protein lol
This is what it comes down to. After having a kid my retirement plan to die at 60 is no longer viable. Gonna need to get healthy so I don't miss it all.
Not just getting to 60 but also being able to enjoy past that point. I have a bunch of aunts and uncles all in their mid to late 60's now and they all seem to have issues with things like joints, backs, cholesterol, gout, blood pressure, cancer scares, etc keeping them from doing things they want to do.
I'm still struggling with the snacks and work travel keeps killing any sort of routine I get going. I might have to try 320s smoothie when I get back from the next one.

After my beautiful little fuzzy puppy got cancer, I made sure the remaining girl stays away from sugar of all kinds and I'm making all her food myself. no more store bought dog food, its all just garbage full of by-products (excuse me while I chomp down on Mcdonalds)
