Fitness models and people that compete in bodybuilding a usually awkward weirdos.
I joined a similar hardcore bodybuilding gym down here in San Antonio. The equipment is fantastic, but the people who train here are fucking lame. Tripods galore, no one really talks (which might be a good thing compared to my gym back home), everyone is hyper obsessed with themselves taking selfies and mirror shots.
I train hard, and I train often, but lifting has never been an extension of my personality, I hate talking about working out outside of the gym. Most of the people that get into competing are usually incel basement dorks that started doing it to get some self-confidence, most of them are introverted as hell.
+1 to all of this. I used to work out at the "competitors" gym for the equipment and platforms and it got so ridiculous with the tripods and posing room bullshit I had to bow out. Now I'm the big guy at a regular gym and everyone definitely thinks I'm that gymbro on gear, but I'm always just in old shorts and a tee with my hat down low doing my thing without bothering anyone Competition people are a bizarre bunch, they all have dysmorphophobia issues.
meat left out for 24hrs? you know a refrigerator is like 2 degrees and your car probably only hits 5-10 degrees during the coldest point of the night, the rest of the time it's in the double digits easily
not only that but dimsum in a car for 24hrs must absolutely REEK up your car...
i think her plan is to give me food poisoning again so i cant finish her... keep me weak lol
of course i ate it lol. i made sure to ask if it was all prepacked and sitting to be picked up or packed to order. luckily it was the latter.
Debating if I should hold maintenance / mini bulk for holidays then do the final 13% > 10% BF cut before Ultra Miami. Looking so tiny and flat atm, but then I get a gym pump and I'm like 2x the size
Also PR'd in running, did my 2nd 5KM run ever in my life @ 33:36 in Late Oct 2024, 6 runs later just PR'd sub 27 Min @ 7/10 exertion. The noobie gains are insane for running.
my friends have PR's around 23-26min, so gonna be fun slowly beating them all.

I'm not doing great either. I fell into the trap thinking cardio and diet would do it, but truth is I've gotta lift to get where I want. I really don't know shit about technique or anything though so I'm avoiding it. I need to do a couple personal trainer sessions or something to figure out some base knowledge.

It's cardio and diet, there's 99% no way you don't lose fat if you count calories.
Run this and Youtube how to do every exercise, pretty easy. If there's any movement you feel like you'd get hurt, swap it out. Will also teach for food!
