Ok I didn't quite make my goal but still happy that I am on the downtrend. from 173.4 to 168.2 and now 166.3 with no extreme dieting, calorie counting, or exercise. the only thing I cut out was regular late night snacking which I cut by 90%. if I can lose a few more pounds I'll be at my target, but I don't really care about the numbers that much, I just feel more comfortable in my own skin around this weight so that's really all I can ask for, and I know im on the downtrend not the uptrend so im good with that. https://i.imgur.com/DeWHb6a.jpeg |
We made it to 193lbs in the morning, picture was on X-mas after carbing up the last 2 days. My walking weight hovering around 199ish Weight spikes to 200 - 203lbs from my 1-2x weekly AYCE's. Gonna eat 2,200-2,500cals a day and maintain this until Mar 2025 and try to hit sub 12% bodyfat (185-190lbs) Spoiler! |

I started at 184.1, the goal was 160, as of the 23rd I was 178.0. Pretty far short but it was a rough fall and at least I'm heading slightly in the right direction. |
I feel like almost none of us made our goals, but all of us except for badhobz made an improvement. That's a win for a bunch of fuckin 40 year old nerds still on a car forum. Hobz is much much worse, probably the depression related to not getting the murano cross. |

I definitely didn't meet my earlier stated goals... but my goals totally changed after realizing the benefits of leg and core work. I thought I had to be <175lbs to be agile but now I realize at my height (183cm) I can be 185lbs+ and still be agile if it's done a different way. I'm not so focused on a weight number now... just hoping to get to a certain combination of aesthetics and size and I think I'm well on the way to that. And try to look as happy as hobz hahaha |
For me (5'7"), it was to reverse some weight gain that's been slowly creeping up as I age, plus the extra from my Alaska cruise in the summer. I was at 167 and hit 175 after the cruise. I'm now down to 163-165 lbs, but I've got a bit more muscle mass than I had previously. Going forward, I do need to get a body fat scale, inaccurate as they may be, to monitor my body composition. I figure that the relative change in muscle/fat reported by the scale is precise enough when compared to it's own results. |
I went to the gym today trying to burn off some of that post Xmas eat a thons and of course that bitch was there trying to feed me butter cookies and some home made dumplings. Weird mix. This has been a fun thread to follow and for motivation. Went on a trip in June and when I got back after seeing a photo of myself decided to lose weight. Graduated high school as skinnyfat 130lbs and 5'6, went through nursing school, a bad breakup, and the poor diets from the 2 days/2 nights rotation and got up to 190 at my peak. Been going to the gym 4-5x a week since 2014 but never really stuck to a good diet so my weight always stayed in that 180-190 area but my lifts went up. First weigh-in last week of June was 185. Went with a stricter diet and fitness plan and now im down to 160. Lost weight, still blasting white girl music, still no confidence to talk to one. |
