I have an original Leesa for myself and my wife and generally have liked it a lot. Like all foam mattresses it can run a bit hot (and I'm a hot sleeper) but it's not a deal breaker. I'm a stomach sleeper and think it's a tad soft for me. Build quality has been good (6 years and looking great) - love the cover it comes with. 8/10 for a hot stomach sleeper. I also have a Douglas Alpine that I got from Goodmorning (https://www.goodmorning.com) for my kid and it's very similar to the Leesa but for way less money. It's a touch softer and runs just a touch cooler than the Leesa and I sleep better on it than I do the Leesa even though I prefer firmer mattresses. If I were kitting out a guest room or AirBnB this is totally the mattress I would get - very good quality for the money. If I were buying for myself I'd go with their upgrade option, the Douglas Summit - $1400 for a King is a steal in this market (vs $2k for an Original Leesa). 9/10 for this one. Both have done well enough that I'm a terrible sleeper whenever I travel - hotel beds suck for me. Tempurpedic? Man, you guys are fucking ballers. |
Anyone have luck dealing with sleep countrys warranty How the fuck do I prove a 2 in drop on one side with a foam mattress |
I sleep on probably a 15-20 year old seahorse that my wife brought over from her old bedroom at her parents place after we got married lol. Still as comfortable as new coz it's so hard lol. |

- https://www.saatva.com/mattresses/zenhaven Most brands use cheap memory foam that will sag in a year or two - if the brand does'nt list the density of the foam (just the "stiffness"), it suggest pretty low durability foam. |

Natural latex, either full latex if you can justify the cost or hybrid with latex top and spring bottom. Your back can thank me later. |

Also I wouldn't buy from those online box mattresses, you can't really test ahead of time (even though they allow you to return them, I'm sure it's a pain in the ass). Just head down to mattress row in Coquitlam (around the IKEA), you can speed run about 3-4 spots and checkout a bunch of mattresses then figure out the best deal based on what you like. |
A traditional spring mattress is what we have used for the last 10 years, specifically the Fairmont Line from Sealy: https://canada.fairmontstore.com/pro...0aAnFCEALw_wcB |

So it's been a lot of info and I have lots to digest. And my body is screaming at me so I gave in and replaced the topper for the time being so I can actually sleep at night. The mattress thing is still happening but I think it'll take sometime. We need find a king size frame we like first, get that, then go buy a mattress. Thinking of taking on the Endy/Casper 100 day tests to see if I even like them on the longer term. |
