People didn't get dropped off that much when I was in school. And Killarney while well off definitely had a lot less bling.
The only bling was that plastic chick who drove a ML55 and CL55 interchangeably.

I see more kids riding high-end mountain bikes nowadays compared to when I was a kid. Some of these kids are riding Norco, S-Works, Santa Cruz full suspension.... And here I am riding an old school Norco hardtail. lol.

Wow, how times have changed. Back then, if you had your mom's 1989 Toyota Corolla with hand-crank windows showing up at Britannia, you were king shit!

Some of the rednecks have big old diesels 1 tons.
Volkswagen golfs were moderately popular for a few years.
Most kids drive 5-10 year old import subcompacts/sedans.
Only one high-dollar car that I can think of…a new M2 full of carbon fibre.
Keep in mind this is in Penticton.

I worked doing snow shoveling in Big White for a season and talked to a ton of young people who were in their late teens / early 20's and working up there, and the situation sounded fucking bleak from what those kids told me.
Pretty sure the only people living it up like we did when we were in our teens and early 20's have millionaire boomer parents bankrolling them in 2025.

I'm getting murdered, I can safely say I don't care if they are trans or not.
Anyway, doesn't this seem like a decent price? I thought these were over 200k? 991 GT3 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks
edit: Maybe it's cheaper now that the 10 year engine warranty is over?

I don't know if this civic is worth 50K but it's got like the hole Spoon catalogue.

I'd say its worth 50K. The spoon goodies alone is worth a lot of money. He has a rare spoon instrument cluster and that alone is worth easily couple grand. However I find selling tuner cars in Canadian market not as good as the US.
I was looking to import an EK9 like 15 years ago. Could have gotten a clean one for about 16K. I don't know how much for a clean one now, but probably guessing more than 16K lol.

It's a super nice ride, but it's kinda crazy to drive it anywhere knowing that if it gets into an accident/totalled, you're going to get paid out market price for an EK hatch.

Hagerty is the only option for cars like this, and I've looked, it's like $2500 a year ON TOP of ICBC.

The guy at spoon is hilarious. He said ppl will buy anything and actively rips them off reboxing stuff.
